Indigo takes a bite and sighs happily, " since he arrived he's certainly shown us how to make even the things we're able to get here into good tasting meals. And Isabelle has gotten them to add more fresh foods onto the shipments. we even get fresh fruit now and then, it's truly been a wonderful thing."

Davie nods as he keeps eating, "I'm sorry this district has seen so many hardships. I get that the higher numbered districts are even worse but it's all unfair to everyone. It sucks."

[Namari]

Indigo nods, " the changes lately have brought a lot of hope though. there are some who feel of course the improvements aren't worth our pride, and that it'll only be a matter of time before things go back to how they were. but i hope they're wrong."

[MissyLooni]

Davie nods, "well as long as takana is here I doubt things will go back. Even when we were kids he always was the one to stand up to bullies and helped the other kids."

Indigo nods, "silly boy almost got himself killed, but he saved Izanagi's life on inspection day." he finishes up his curry, setting his fork down.

Davie pauses and blinks, looking up at indigo, "what?"

Indigo blinks, " oh, right. yeah, Izanagi's collar had malfunctioned after he had it checked prior to the inspection, and it didn't show it was non functional as it's supposed to. so they were about to dispatch him when Takana jumped in and argued with them. bought just enough time to get things fixed, but Izanagi is here now so obviously it worked. he could have easily been killed for interfering though, i've seen it happen before." he takes a drink from his chai tea. " it's all the district was talking about for about a week."

"Takana argued with a bunch of officers.... who had guns? Jesus christ I didn't think of him as a kid with a death wish."

Indigo chuckles, " well h and Izanagi are roommates so i guess he didn;t want to see his friend die. i guess it hits a little differently when you don;t grow up knowing that's always a possibility."

Davie blinks in surprise, "you mean takana is actually living here? And his dad is letting him? I only met the man once but even that brief interaction was enough to make me wet myself."

Indigo hums softly, " it's... a bit more complicated than that. less of 'letting' him and more... 'couldn't stop' him. and also..." he quickly grabs a napkin, writing ' his family isn;t common knowledge, so don't talk more about it here in public.' before scooting it over to Davie."

Davie blinks and reads the note before humming softly, "a-ah... I did not know that. Good to uh... know."
He finishes his food and rubs the paper napkin into the leftover curry sauce, ruining the ink so it can't be read

Indigo nods in approval when the message is destroyed, " if you'd like more information on that I'm afraid you'll have to inquire with Takana himself or Arakan, though our heir to the district has been running himself ragged trying to keep everything going lately with all the changes. I don't envy the man."

Davie shakes his head, "I wont bother arakan with such trivial things. I know he's busy. Anyway, I'm ready to pay and head out."

Indigo nods, " glad to hear that. he's got enough on his plate. yeah, im good to go." he finishes his tea and stands, " my gratitude for the meal."
