Ike waves a hand, " i can go get food myself in a bit, no need for you to wait on me, you've already got your hands full with this one." he grins.

Sheik jerks, startling awake and looking around frantically before he sees volga and his own room, " goddess... sorry, guess i dozed off. my apologies..." he looks at Volga, " ah, you're up! im glad, um, can i get you anything?"

Volga blinks when sheik is startled awake and he removes his hand, "i'm fine. Are you alright? Sleeping like that cant be good for your back."

Aria nods and leaves the room.

Link waits until aria leaves before continuing to pet Lucky, "so....be honest with me.... how are things around here? Zelda has a barrier surrounding us for now but i cant imagine thats good for her health."

Sheik chuckles and gets up, " im fine, i've only been like that for maybe an hour?" he stretches, " i'll be alright."

Ike blinks then sighs, " she's in rough shape, been spending most of her time in her room shifting between sleeping and eating from what i understand. seems she and Sothe hit it off, so he's been taking care of her."

Volga smiles, "well then, it appears i have fully recovered. Is there anything you'd like to do?"

Link blinks and looks at ike, "hit it off? So there friends now? That's nice. It must be hard for someone in her position to have friends."

Sheik blinks, " oh, um, i haven;t had breakfast, and im sure you're hungry? shall we get some food?"


Ike snorts and snickers, " yeah...friends. they're a bit closer than friends, i doubt he's been back to his room all week."

Volga nods, "yes, breakfast sounds agreeable."

Link blinks and frowns, "so....they...are doing....it."

Sheik nods and gets up, " alright then." he heads to the mess hall, getting a tray of food and tea before going back to his room and sitting at his table with Volga to eat.


Ike nods, " yeah... normally i'd chew him out, the whole 'don't fuck the monarchy' thing, tends to complicate things beyond redemption, but since we'll be leaving eventually anyway and they seem to be happy, im leaving it be. anyway he's keeping tabs on her, keeping her stocked with food and making sure she's taking care of right now while she's being drained so much by the barriers."

Link carefully sets his chick back in to its basket and grabs charlie, setting it to the side as well

Volga had followed sheik to the mess hall and had picked up some tea for himself as well before sitting down with sheik

Ike blinks, taking the basket and closing it up, setting it aside, " if you don;t need charlie here anymore, we should probably take it back to Tergo and May. im sure she'd be happy to keep hold of it for you. i tried to convince her to come out and sing for you, Tergo's suggestion, but she was too shy." he chuckles softly, trying to lighten the suddenly heavy atmosphere.

Sheik blinks when he sees only tea that Volga had gotten, " you're not hungry? i would think you'd need food after expending that much energy..."

Link shakes his head and looks out the window, "its fine. She's also busy with the twins im sure. And... i'll return charlie next time i go out to visit."

Volga blinks and his face turns a slight shade of red, "ah its fine. I got the rest my body needed. Tea is more needed right now than food."

Ike shrugs, " alright. well, anything i can get for you?"

Sheik blinks, wondering why the other looked flushed, " ah, alright." he eats,  still somewhat uncomfortable eating when the other wasn;t eating anything.

Link looks at ike and smiles, "nah. I'm good. I... really just like the company right now. I'm hoping that im only on bed rest for today because i want to go out to the market and see tergo as soon as possible."

Volga sips at his tea and sighs in content

Ike blinks then smiles, " well, i know he'd be happy to see you. i could go talk to him? im sure he and may would be happy to come over and visit you after he's done with work. you should rest for now, get your strength back."


Sheik soon finishes his meal and sips at his tea, " so um... well the mission was a success, Link woke up last night."

Volga blinks and smiles, "thats wonderful! How is he fairing?"

Link rubs the back id his head,  "um...i kinda dont want them to see me stuck in a bed. I'd rather go to them once i'm better..." he glances at the tray next to him and grabs the applesauce and spoon. He knew aria wanted him to drink the broth but he really, really didn't want to drink food anymore.

" seems to be faring well, so far. i only visited for a short time. everyone of course wants to speak with him now that he's awake." Sheik pours another cup of tea for himself.


Ike blinks and frowns, reaching over and quickly taking the applesauce, " nu-uh, Aria said broth first. and since im here with you, it'd be my head if you got yourself sick. it's made from tergos smoked meat, try it. you'll like it. when you were...before, you loved the stuff, chugged it down and huffed when it was gone."
