Volga nods, "i suppose everyone wants to make sure their hero is really okay so it makes sense."

Link makes a soft whine of protest when ike takes the applesauce from him, "wha- oh come on... im tired of drinking food. Its been the only thing in my system since i was captured."

Sheik nods, " yes...and i will be staying here, and doing all i can to keep his moral up. seeing as i can;t really leave..."

Ike snorts, " and i doubt you even remember much of it. just drink it down quick and see how it sits, then i'll give the applesauce back."

Link pouts and sighs before taking the bowl of broth. He makes a face at it before hesitantly drinking about half of it before he has to quickly set it back down, "oh... now i know what she was talking about."

Volga blinks and frowns, "what do you mean by that? Like, leave the castle?"

Ike blinks and tilts his head, "whats wrong?"

Sheik nods, " it's best if i stay within it's confines, i cannot draw trouble to myself any anyone else that may be with me that way."

Volga blinks before he frowns, "ah. You are still feeling guilty for the actions of others."

Link closes his eyes tightly and shakes his head, "she made it a little thicker.... not by a lot but enough."

Sheik sighs, " i suppose that is one way to look at it. however cause and effect is undeniable, if i am out on the field, he will come for me and harm anyone else in the process. therefore for the good of others, staying here is the best place for me."


Ike smiles, " well regardless im sure it's good for you."

Link leans back against his pillows and huffs, "debatable." He's quiet for a bit before smiling, "i drank half of that, i think i deserve at least a bite of applesauce."

Volga sighs, "you cant place yourself in such a position just because of zant. Thats not fair to you."

Ike chuckles and hands it over, " fine, but if you get an upset stomach it's on you."


Sheik shakes his head, " nor is it fair to risk others for my own selfishness. so i will not."

Volga frowns, "You could still leave the castle but stay withing the princess's barrier."

Link hisses a soft 'yes' as he takes the small bowl and spoon. He immediately pops a spoonful in to his mouth and shudders as the sweet mushed apples hits his tongue, "Finally. Something sweet."

Sheik bites his lip, " tempting, but i doubt she will be able to keep the barrier extended as far as it is now for long."

Ike takes the bowl back to keep Link from going overboard, " ah, i could get you some lemonade with watermelon juice in it? you rather enjoyed that i guess when Soren brought you some."

Volga shrugs, "we have quite a bit of time from what I understand."

Link lets ike take the bowl back, looking at ike as he swallows the applesauce, "That was real too? I... thought that was a dream...." his eyes water and he shudders, "I... feel so bad that I've been out of it for this long..."

Sheik sighs, " ...we will see. perhaps short excursions out of the castle by myself so i don't endanger anyone else should he manage to find a way to get to me..."

Ike nods, " very real. don't worry, you weren't well. just focus on recovering. you want me to get you some of that to drink?"

Volga makes a soft grunt sound, "if you go with no one then i'll be tagging along with you."

Link hesitantly nods, "y-yeah. If its not too much trouble."

Ike nods and gets up, heading to the kitchen and mixing some up before bringing a glass back, " here we are, freshly made."


Sheik crosses his arms and raises an eyebrow, " the idea is that i not endanger anyone except myself. so if you think there is danger, then i ought to remain in the castle. if there's not, then i should be fine going alone."

Link eagerly takes the cup and begins taking slow, careful sips. Not wanting to overdo it, link pauses to take in a soft breath, "so good~" he smiles and sighs softly.

Volga huffs, "it IS safe. But even so, if there's even a slight chance that it isnt i would feel better if you had me with you. Or at least the wyvern so that i have a way to ensure your safety."
