Ike chuckles and hugs Link with one arm, squeezing him tightly, " once we explain the situation, im sure they'll understand. don;t worry, im right here with you the whole way got it?"

Link nods and blushes, "thank you... I'm sorry. I didnt mean to run like that either... i just... my feet moved before i could think about it."

Soren waves his hand dismissively, "dont apologize. Ike does the same thing all the time. He just doesnt have a good reason for it. You did from the sounds of it."

Ike pouts, " hey!" he shakes his head and shooes Link back towards the throne room, " lets get you back in there and get this sorted before Soren tells you any more blatant lies about me."

Link sighs and heads to the throne room, bright red in embarrassment

Ike keeps his arm around Links shoulders.

Impa looks over, " may i ask what that was about?"

Ike glances at Link, " you want me to tell them? i can if you want."

Link shakes his head and shudders, "i.... i lied on the application... i wrote down that i had no parents but thats only half right. My mom is gone but my... dad is alive. He is a.... monster to say the least. If he were to find out that im here..." link shakes his head, "he tried to kill me when i was 12 and i managed to get away and i havent been back to ordon since. I... really dont want... to go back. I'm sorry..."

Impa watches his hands, reading his story. " well, while i don;t usually condone falsifying information, i can overlook it in this circumstance. We will certainly take this into consideration. Considering we aren;t even certain jumping you past with a second portal would work, i think bringing you with on the first one is the best method, it will attract the least amount of attention. Of course we will take precautions to avoid your being detected by your father, and you will remain guarded at all times as well. Perhaps Sheikah garb, i personally don;t cover my face but most do, and it makes perfect sense to have sheikah with the princess, nobody will think twice about it. we'll alter your hairstyle to one more reminiscent of ours. your eyes will be the main giveaway, but perhaps we can have your hair cover them. and anyway i doubt anyone will get that close to see they aren;t the normal red."

Link nods,  " to be honest if the application had an option on whether someone even wants their family to be notified or not i would not have lied. I'm certain i wouldn't be the only one who had lied to get away from a bad situation. "

Zelda glances at impa,  "I'm... sure we can discuss modifying the process in order to better protect our people. "

Impa nods, " certainly. Though it's not as if i plan on going through to see if anyone else has lied. it's a minor detail, and if they wish that their death remain a secret from their family that is of no concern to me. For now we have more important things to worry about right now. I still think dressing him as a sheikah is a good idea, nobody looks too closely at our kind, we tend to unnerve people. We could even add a little padding to the chest area to make him appear as a female to add another layer to it. his father surely will not be looking for a sheikah, let alone a female one."

Link bristles and he clears his throat, his face red, "there's no difference between the outfit whether one is male or... female right?"

Impa nods, " ah yes, i understand your hesitance with it. rest assured, the garb is rather similar regardless of gender. it is tight fitting, but covers nearly all your skin."

Link sighs softly, his shoulders relaxing ever so slightly and he nods, "okay. We can do that. "

Impa chuckles softly, " if it makes you feel better, my own outfit reveals more than most, i have part of my chest and my arms exposed. typically nothing but the head and hands are left exposed. and male or female it is skin tight and very flexible to avoid restricting movement."
