Link looks at Ike and smirks, "Suppose thats a good thing. admittedly this is kinda useful... " he pokes at the veggies he grabbed and sighs before eating them.

Ike laughs softly, " well if it does it's job then im happy." he finishes off his food. " you ready for this today?"

[MissyLooni]

Link looks up at Ike and frowns, "Honestly? ...no... but i have to be. "

[Namari]

Ike frowns, " fair enough i suppose. i'll be right there with you, we'll get through it."

Link bites his lower lip and looks at the ground briefly before looking back at ike, "If something happens to me you'll keep the others safe, right?"

Ike nods, " i fully plan on protecting all of you regardless of what happens."

[MissyLooni]

"all of them, ike. im not included in this. Something will happen and whatever it is i dont want anyone else tangled up in it."

Ike huffs, " im not going to just stand idly by if something happens to you!"

Link shakes his head and stands up, "If something happened to you i would never forgive myself!!" Link walks over to ike's wall and presses his forehead against it, groaning in frustration.

Ike crosses his arms, " and you think i like the idea of anyone getting hurt? just because i've watched friends and comrades die over the years doesn;t make it any easier you know."

Link looks at ike and pales. He goes over to ike and presses his forehead against ike's chest, "i'm sorry... i shouldn't have said anything... i'm just... scared. "

Ike wraps his arms around him, " wrong again, you absolutely should have talked to me. i want you to be able to talk to me. and you're allowed to be scared and hurt, but sacrificing yourself for everyone else isn;t the answer. we'd hurt too if something happened to you, everyone needs you. not because you're some high and mighty important hero, because you're our friend. we'll all get through this together."

Link's breath hitches and it takes everything in him to not cling on to Ike. He composes himself to the best of his abilities and nods, "To.... together..."

Ike pets the top of his head, " you know, if you need to get it out of your system, im not going to judge you, and nobody else is around. so feel free."

Link can't help but chuckle, his shoulders shaking as his chuckling turns into panicked laughter, tears streaming down his face
