Ike rubs Links back, " not what i was expecting but this works too. let it out however you feel you gotta." he waits patiently for the other to get it out of his system.

Links laughter doesnt last long although his shoulders keep shaking, breathing quickly as he grabs on to ike.

Ike holds him close, rubbing his back still as he comforts the younger, " there there, let it out. i've got you, nobody here is going to judge you for it."

[MissyLooni]

He looks up at Ike, forcing out a sad smile, "You say you... you'll keep me safe... yet i still feel... like this is the last time i'll be here.... i dont... I dont want to go...." his voice shakes as he does everything he can to hold in his fearful crying.

[Namari]

Ike sighs, " well, lets hope you're wrong then. and yeah, i say i'll do everything in my power to keep you safe. i'll fight to the end." he sighs softly, " i know you don;t want to go...if there was a way to avoid you going im sure we'd do whatever it took." he keeps rubbing the others back, " you don;t have to hold it back."

Link shakes his head, trying to breathe deeply and calm himself down, "It's.... its fine. im fine. I can do this. Besides, if i just let go I would cry for hours and we dont have that kind of time. But I appreciate you telling me that i can. I'm sorry. I dont normally have these kind of attacks right before a mission."

Ike frowns, " fair enough i suppose... you also didn;t have someone who's been through most of this shit before telling you it's normal before, so i suppose i can forgive you for that one." he grins.

Link sniffles and he lets go of ike so that he can rub his face, "we better get going before someone has to fetch us."

Ike nods, " yeah, probably." he grabs one of his clean shirts having nothing else on hand and offers it, " here, wipe your face, do whatever you need to. we'll toss it in the hamper after."

Link looks at the shirt before looking up at ike, his hand trembling ever so slightly as he takes it, "thanks." He wipes his face and pauses when he feels himself calm down, "do you want to head down first? I just need to grab something and i'll be down shortly."

Ike blinks and nods, " uh, sure. if that's what you want. see you down there in a bit." he heads out to the throne room.

Sothe is already waiting there, looking bored.

Sheik is standing at attention, waiting patiently.

Impa is getting her own gear ready, glancing around.

Link neatly folds up ikes shirt until he manages to get it small enough to fit in to his spare pouch. He quickly runs to his room and grabs ike's  headband and the note he had written a few days prior before he goes back to ike's room and places both items on his desk. He sighs and takes one last look at the castle walls before he heads down to the throne room.

Soren double checks his supplies again and nags sothe to check his things as well.

Lana glances at the sun beginning to rise and she frowns at the oddity of link not already being down.

Zelda sighs and goes over to sheik, "ah, a word if you have time?"

Sothe rolls his eyes and ignores Soren, confident that he'd gotten everything.

Sheik looks over at Zelda and bows, " certainly princess. how may i serve you?"

Ike checks his own equipment before leaning against a wall to wait.

Link sees everybody already down and he takes a deep breath to center himself before going in and heading over to impa.

Zelda looks down briefly before her eyes flicker back to sheik, "i wish to apologize for my behavior. I may have come off a bit rude but i assure you that i hold no negative feelings towards you. Having someone i read about in our history books just show up... put me through a bit of shock is all. I hope that you and i get to know each other better once this mission is over with if thats agreeable with you."

Impa looks at Link, " ah, there you are. That makes all of us then."


Sheik nods, " i understand. thank you for letting me know, i was a bit worried." he tilts his head, " ah, certainly? if that's what you wish, i have no qualms about it."
