Caleb hums softly, happily as he begins to relax, "this is nice..."

Aiden shudders and opens his eyes, smiling when he sees ike, "hey there handsome."

Ghirahim relaxes slightly when the other doesn;t react, " yeah... i guess it is."


Ike smirks, " look whos talking. i hope you're feeling refreshed, because i certainly am." he nuzzles the others neck tenderly, " regretfully duty calls though, i better get moving."

Aiden whines softly and pouts, "awww but im so cozy. " he locks his lips when ike nuzzles his neck

Ike chuckles, " believe me, i'd rather stay too. but i've got responsibilities. and you should probably go make sure your brother is staying out of trouble." he gets up, getting dressed.

Aiden nods and sighs,  "okay, okay. " He gets up and starts getting ready

Ike finishes getting ready and quickly places another peck on Aidens cheek, " i'll see you tonight." and heads out to the training grounds to get to work.

Link kicks down another soldier in a spar and he blinks before quickly going over and helping them up, slightly red as he silently apologizes.

The soldier smiles and pats link's back, "thats quite alright! I'd be a little concerned if the hero couldnt kick my ass!"

[Namari]

Ike makes his way out to the training field and sees Link sparring with a soldier, " Link! good to see you out here." he smiles and glances at the soldier Link helped up, " looks like you did fairly well all things considered."

[MissyLooni]

The soldier looks at ike and laughs, waving his hand in dismissal, "i wish i did. It felt like the hero was holding back a bit."

Link turns even more red and he hunches his shoulders and glances to the ground. More embarrassed that the soldier was right in his assumption.

[Namari]

Ike chuckles, " might be a good thing for you he did, after all, we want your head to remain attached to your shoulders. it's a little hard to avoid doing serious damage unless you hold back once you get to our kind of skill level."

[MissyLooni]

The soldier nods, "yeah im aware. It must be nice for you two  to have each other for sparring. You both always look flawless when you're training together. "

Ike blinks and laughs softly, " flawless? guess it looks different from the outside huh? when i spar with him i have to say im painfully aware of every mistake i make. and to be frank, there probably are about a hundred of them in one of our couple hour standoffs. little things mostly, feet landing wrong and putting my balance off slightly, misjudging a block or strike, but i suppose that's why i haven;t been able to beat him, i still have a long ways to go..." he chuckles and shakes his head, " point is, there's always someone better, who's trained longer or has more innate skill, or just gets plain lucky. or perhaps their fighting style is different and you can;t get the rhythm of it. regardless, you just keep practicing and trying to get better."

Link watches ike talk in awe. He was jealous that the man was able to speak so freely to everyone. He blinks a bit when ike finishes talking and he looks back at the ground.

The soldier shrugs, "my wife is an artist. Started taking up painting a few years back and i love them all. I feel like they are perfect and i wish we could hang the walls with them but she refuses. Says she doesnt like them because she can see the flaws in her work. What she would have done differently and how she adamantly believes that with enough practice she will get better. So in a weird way I feel like I'm experiencing dejavu."

[Namari]

Ike chuckles and claps him on the shoulder, " i think everyone feels that way about themselves and their craft. try telling her the flaws are what give them personality."

[MissyLooni]

The soldier smiles and nods, "will do sir. Now, if you'll excuse me. I think i'll spar someone closer to my level." He says a quick goodbye before heading over to some more soldiers.
