Caleb shrugs, "i mean, its a good time waster. And some people who are really good can sell what they draw for money. But a lot of people draw even if they arent good at it because its a skill. You keep drawing and you improve. You grow. It's awesome."

Ghirahim makes a face, " sounds like it's something that takes a long time to be decent with."

Caleb chuckles, "it... depends. Some people are fast learners and others arent... but i had started drawing since i was five since i didnt have anything to actually play with as a kid."

[Namari]

Ghirahim makes a huffy sounding grunt, " well i guess that explains the difference in what you did and what i did...i don;t mind watching you draw though, even if doing it bores me."

Caleb blinks and frowns, "well... if you practice then you will get better. The same with fighting, cooking, and swimming. I guess thats the fun part for me. If i had all of my old drawings i could have looked back at how terrible they were and felt good knowing i improved so much."

Ghirahim sticks his long tongue out, " boring. patience isn't my strong suit."

Caleb cant help but laugh softly, "well, i suppose you could always practice being patient."

Ghirahim grumbles softly, " i think i've been doing pretty well on that front all things considered."

[MissyLooni]

Caleb shrugs, "to be fair i hadnt met you before you came here so i dont have a past version of you to compare. But... from what I've been told i can tell that you have grown in to a much better person. You should be proud of your accomplishments."

Ghirahim blushes, " yeah, i guess so...but should i really be proud of just not being an asshole?"

Caleb shrugs, "considering how you grew up and for so long?  Why not? Even if you feel like they're small accomplishments it doesn't change the fact that they are exactly that. An accomplishment." He looks up at the ceiling and hums, "besides, if you arent used to change or setting goals for yourself then you honestly should make them more simple, easier goals before making more challenging ones. If you expect a huge change to happen overnight and it ends up not happening, which to be honest they usually dont, then you'll just end up discouraging yourself in the future. So focus on the positives that you can find and know that everyday there's a chance for little accomplishments. One time i had set a goal for myself to not cry for a whole day. Thinking about it now seems really stupid and way too easy but a few years back it was something really hard to do. It lets me know just how much i was able to learn and grow and it feels really good!" He looks back at ghirahim and smiles

Ghirahim frowns and looks down, " i... suppose so." he sighs and leans against Caleb, " all this thinking makes my head hurt...living in your world is so complicated..."

Caleb tilts his head and gently pats ghirahim's shoulders, "its alright. Just take it one day at a time. I certainly dont expect you to be perfect right off the bat. No one is."

Ghirahim snorts, " if i ever get anywhere beyond just being a slight asshole instead of a massive one, i'd be surprised."

Caleb chuckles and gives ghirahim a peck on the forhead, "well you're not an asshole to me."
