Link quickly turns around and leaves,  not wanting ike to see him.

Ike sees someone leaving as the men are grouping up and notices Link, " oh hey Link! didn;t see you there!"

Link freezes briefly before looking at ike, giving a hesitant wave

Ike tilts his head, " you don;t have to leave just because i came. come up, lets spar some. show these greenhorns how it's done."

Link blinks. Sparring. Yes. It had been a while since he did that with ike. He smiles and nods before going over to him, "real swords or wooden ones?"

Ike grins, " wooden is probably the better idea. don;t want to accidentally actually hurt each other."

Link snorts and sets his master sword to the side before grabbing one of the wooden swords, grinning from excitement

Ike sets his sword aside and grabs a wooden one, flourishing it as he gets a feel for the balance.

Link twirls the wood around and hums before getting into a ready stance as he waits for ike

Ike glances at the other men to make sure they're actually training and not just fooling around before he lunches at Link, going for a quick jab.

Link side steps to avoid the jab before going to strike ike's side.

Ike quickly brings his sword to his side to block the blow.

Link smirks and jumps back a bit to get some distance

Ike looks unphased and walks slowly to the side as he considers the other, not closing the distance right away again.

[MissyLooni]

Link watches ike carefully, despite it not looking like it. he couldnt help but keep smiling. He was doing something he liked, with the person he liked after all!
He twirls the sword for a brief second before gripping it harder. Things were fine just the way they are. There's no way link would change this for the world.
