Gyro shrugs, "i never said having a battle close to home was a bad thing. just saying a few here or there at a safer distance wouldnt be a terrible thing. having battles after battle so close to home can be quite nerve wracking when it's all the time. ah but this is war. we dont really get a choice in the matter."

Ike shakes his head, " trust me, having those battles out there is worse. i've lost a lot of friend that way. we did what we had to do of course, but war is a brutal thing. i'll take a hundred fights holed up behind walls to a single battle on enemy, or even just neutral ground. you don't need to hear me go on about things that are dead and buried though." he runs a hand through his hair and stands up, " thanks for the company, i think im going to go find something to drink. bad memories, you know?"

The men wave ike off, going back to their game, one commenting how its a good thing ike left since he would have lost to the mercenaries hand.

Link is still at the bar, on his fourth cup of whiskey, clearly enjoying himself in his drunken stupor

Ike sighs and makes his way to the bar. He doesn;t notice Link at first as he sits down, " give me a few shots, i'd like to not think for awhile."

the bartender nods and hands ike a glass, with the bottle itself so that ike can pour his own.

Link doesnt notice ike either, he is drunk out of his gourd after all. He downs another shot of his whiskey.

Plenty of other men happily pay for another drink for link

Ike pours a shot and knocks it back, then does another. He then glances around and starts as he eyes land on Link. " the hell?" he gets up and takes his glass and bottle over to the other male, " the hell you doing here? and you all, back the fuck off." he glares at the other guys.

the men groan softly but quickly back up, not wanting to piss off someone like ike.

link blinks and glances around curiously before his eyes land on Ike and he lets out a drunk giggle, "I thooooooought you were-were gonna sleep~ heeheehee~"

Ike sighs, " planned to, got lonely, then depressed. come on, you're totally plastered." he sets the bottle aside and pulls out the payment token, " cover his drinks and mine, im getting him home."

Link sputters before grabbing ike's shoulder, "wha-what? Noooo~ you cant! you-" link hiccups softly before giving another giggle, "lets have some fun~ everyone else is having fun~!"

Ike sighs, " you're completely drunk." he grabs Links arm and puts it over his shoulders, hauling him up and heading out of the bar. " come on, lets get you back to the castle."

link gives an undignified yelp when he's hauled up and he starts whining, "no! nonono I dont wanna go back~! stay with me~ im so lonely. you just got here so lets drink together!"

Ike sighs, " im staying with you because you're coming with me. somebody apparently needs to stay sober in this case and you're already plastered so it's not you." he hauls him outside.

link whines some more, being easy to haul around since he's lightweight and isnt struggling at all, "no fun no fun~ everyone in the bar is having fun and i wanna have fun tooooooooo....." the cool air hits link and he stumbles, groaning as being drunk starts to catch up with him, "ugh... the cold air doesnt feel good... lemme go back in where it feeeeel gooooods."

Ike keeps hauling him, " you'll be warm once we get home, how about a nice warm bath and then you can get tucked in cozy and warm in your own bed hm?"

"mmmm....dun wanna....take bath...." he keeps his grip on ike, "mmmdizzy..."
