Link hums softly before tossing some more feed for them,  "well either way you helped him out big time. It was sure sweet of you to do that. "

Ike chuckles and rubs the back of his neck, " i mean i guess so, i can;t stand seeing an underdog struggle when i can help."

Link chuckles, "i know. I have always liked that about you. You selflessly help others. Thank you for helping me with everything. I dont think i could ever repay your kindness."

Ike blushes, " aw come on, now you're making me blush. im just glad im able to help, you know?"

link grins, "see? Right there. I used to think I was the only one who did everything for everyone but since you came i've been able to breathe for a little bit. I know im still not great at expressing myself but i cant imagine what a mess i would be without you helping me."

Ike puts a arm around Links shoulder and pulls him close, " that's what's wrong with this world, everyone expects you to do everything. back home, there's no one hero. we support each other."

Link hums, "A shame I couldnt go with you when you leave. Sure, you'll probably need to show me how to actually defend myself but the extra training would be fun and worth it."

Ike stretches, " well i don;t see why not. once you defeat this guy you're done here aren;t you? that's the whole thing, evil dude shows up, wreaks the peace of forever, you defeat him, then what, sit around and pick your nose?"

Link glances at ike nervously and sighs, shrugging, "I guess it would depend. its not often the same hero is needed more than once. in fact according to our library the hero usually dies before he's needed again. that way the triforce of courage can go to the next hero that is planned."

Ike shrugs, " well from what i read he's only needed every few hundred years or so, so i guess im not surprised he dies before he's needed again. unless you guys live a super long time anyway. our lifespan can be as long as 70ish years, sometimes longer for a rare few, but most don;t live past their 50s."

Link nods, "hylians live for quite a while. It's not uncommon to find someone in their 90's here."

Ike whistles softly, " dang that's old. but still not long enough that i've ever seen overlap when the hero is needed kind of thing."

Link shrugs, "that age is mainly for elders that hold knowledge from what I've seen. I don't think I've read anything about the hero going past 25."

Ike blinks, " jeez, is them winning a rare thing then? does pig face usually kill them?"

[MissyLooni]

Link rubs the back of his head, "I'm... not sure honestly. Our history says we win but lana hinted that something else... happened. I'm not... I do know that despite winning the hero tends to experience complications after the battle. Hero of time suffered a blow to the head that led to blood loss, according to the twilight heroes journal he died from alcohol poisoning a couple years after."
