Link sighs, "unlatch from me and let me check if I brought my pills before I make a decision, okay?"

Zelda blinks and pulls away slightly, "Oh yeah. Suppose that would be important."

Paya lets go and takes a step back, " you should always keep some on you, what if something were to happen and you get stranded somewhere overnight?"

Link snorts, "Where on earth do I go that would end up with me stranded where my pills arent nearby? Im the cousin that doesnt do anything fun, remember?" He grabs his keys, "Besides I usually do have some in the van. But only because they somehow get forgotten in there."

Zelda rolls her eyes, "Cool. The creepy, beat up van with no windows in the back and an inflatable mattress built in it ALSO has stray pills in it."

Paya sticks her tongue out, " well yeah you're the boring cousin, but what if like, you get stuck in a blizzard or something. you never know!"


Sheik covers a laugh, " yeah, because that doesn;t make it sound even more like a date rape van."

Link gives Paya a look, "Really? You think the mini mystery machine cant get through a bunch of snow?" He looks at sheik, "Dont say that about my van!"

Zelda sighs, "Honestly I'm surprised that thing STARTS in the winter time."

Link groans softly, "If you guys keep teasing my van then I'm not spending the night."

Paya pouts, " i didn;t make fun of your van! but if there's enough snow even your van will have trouble. im just saying maybe it's not a bad idea to have some emergency supplies just in case."

Sheik shrugs, " im allowed to have my opinion. anywho, you guys figure it out, i'll see about getting some movies lined up."

Zelda smiles at Paya, "Lets let him check the van okay? I'm sure he's tired of being teased all the time."

Paya sticks her tongue out, " fine." she goes to the kitchen and starts making some popcorn.

Link quickly goes to his clunky van and digs through his center console until he finds his spare prescription bottle with a few pills in it. He nods and shoves them in his pocket before closing the door and heading back inside, "alright you guys are in luck. I can spend the night."

Paya squeals in excitement and flies out of the kitchen to hug Link, " yay! it'll be just like old times!"

Link yelps when he's suddenly hugged by paya. He sighs softly and pats her back, "Yeah. Yeah. You're welcome."

Zelda giggles and heads to the living room.

Paya smiles, " auntie Impa will be so happy to see you too, she asks about you and your health often." she lets go of him, " this is going to be the best!" she goes back to the kitchen to check on the popcorn.

Link looks at paya and watches her go to the kitchen. He frowns and follows her to the kitchen, "She.... asks about me?"

Paya looks at him and blinks, nodding, " of course she does. you hardly ever call, and she almost never sees you these days. it's a little easier to keep tabs on us 3 and how we're doing since we stay here, and she worries about you especially with all you dealt with... i know she wishes you'd rely on her more despite the fact she'd never say it. it's not her fault she's not exactly a kid person and yet now she's got 4 with plenty of issues."

Link looks down and rubs at his arm, "i...i know she has had a difficult time with raising us. I could tell it was hard on her even before she took me in. And when i was brought here... i never felt relief. Just guilt for being another kid to watch. Even now i try really hard to be self sufficient and on top of my health so she doesnt have to worry." Link rests his arms and head on the center island in the kitchen and groans softly, "but now i feel like an asshole for not calling her..."
