Ike sighs softly at the candies before wandering over to the chocolate section.

Link happily picks up some taffy before looking at ike, "get what you want, okay?"

Ike looks over and blinks, " oh, naw. i don;t usually do candy much. gotta be careful with my teeth, alcohol is bad enough, can;t really afford to add candy into the mix."

Link blinks and frowns, "dont do... are you that paranoid about your good looks or what?"

Ike blinks, then barks out a laugh, " fuck no, it's more the expense. can;t really afford cavities you know? they're expensive as shit."

Ike nods, " yeah... dentist and doctor visits are on an as needed basis. no yearly check ins if we can avoid it. besides, the school keeps an eye on my health because of me being an athlete and all."

Link looks down, "cripes... you guys dont have health or dental at all? What if something terrible happens?"

Ike rubs the back of his neck, " we manage. it's way too expensive to afford that kind of thing. so we just are careful."

Link shakes a bit, "but... you can be as careful as you'd like but it wont change how other people drive. Especially since you ride a motorcycle...thats so scary to think about..."
