Impa takes a few more bites, " otherwise perhaps we can find another way to fund him, make a job for him here or such. or since he seems trustworthy and interested in you, and Sheik did say they were looking into possibly seeing about getting you alpha services for your heats, perhaps we can convince him to get certified there and then he'd not only be helping you, but he'd be making good money as well."

Link was in the middle of sipping some water when impa mentions the heats and he jerks and starts coughing, his face bright red

Zelda quickly moves her plate away from link just in case

Impa chuckles softly, " ah to be young and embarrassed about such simple things again."

Links head whips to sheik, giving a glare, "dont tell her things like that!!"

Sheik huffs, " someone needs to keep our guardian informed. your health and how you choose to handle your heat is important."

Link huffs, "Yeah great but now because you open your mouth its getting brought up where we eat!"

Impa frowns, " now now, it's not his fault i brought it up. my apologies, we can discuss it later."

Link glares at his plate and huffs, "i dont want it brought up again. You guys wonder why i never mention anything to anyone but like, if i mention it to one person it gets passed around the house constantly. Like its the new thing that has to be brought up and its weird. It makes me hate saying anything and its why i prefer to live in my own place. So i have some privacy..."

Impa frowns, " im sorry...it's the only way i can feel like i know how you're doing. Your health is important, and i know since you don;t like suppressants this is a good option to keep you healthy and happy."

Link crosses his arms, "you think i dont know that? That i hadnt considered that? I have the internet and i have money so if i really was going to do something like that i easily could without anyone's involvement. Hell how do you know that i havent done it already?"

Impa sighs, " you're right, even if i wish i had a more active part in your life, to perhaps make up for not being there before, i shouldn;t be prying so much."

"I dont mind if you ask me questions or if we have conversations about other things but i dont like whats going on currently. I dont like the eavesdropping and snooping which then turns into a phone game around here."
Link turns to look at sheik, "you tell me that you dont like it when i keep secrets from you yet anytime i tell you anything 3 to 5 business days impa finds out. Why would i want to tell you anything when not only do i know you'll just snoop for yourself but you'll also tell the girls! Why would i want to tell anyone anything when it isnt going to stick to just one person! Im trying to have an actual friend here and now at the dinner table i have to listen to a proposition of him fucking me for a week. Im not even hungry anymore." He gets up from the table, red faced from the anger and embarrassment, pushes his seat in politely before heading back to his room.

Impa grits her teeth, upset and frustrated as well. She gets up and leaves the table as well, emotions roiling. She was not mother material, she proved that often enough. She wanted to be more active in Links life to hopefully prevent more tragedy, but she was failing at that too, the same way her own inaction failed to stop most of her family dying.

Sheik sighs and puts his forehead on his hands.

Paya's lip trembles and she looks down, trying to not cry.

Zelda stares at her plate, giving a heavy sigh.

Link gets to his room,  slams the door closed and begins packing his things. He knew it.  He knew coming here was always a bad idea. He never belonged in the first place so why bother even trying?  He felt a hiccup escape his throat and he does his best to not give in to the tears that threatened to spill. The only thing his side of the family dud was tear this place apart.
