Ike nods and heads out to the girl, whos leaning over the pool and talking with the dolphins, petting them and giving them a few fishy treats. she looks them both over real quick and nods, " it'll do. alright, We have Osono here, and Kiki is the smaller female. Kiki is newer, and we've noticed she's not as used to people as the rescue we got her from said she was. But that's alright, she's sweet and just needs work. come over here and pet them and let them get to know you, give them a few treats. then we'll get in with them. Ike, make sure Osono remembers you and get acquainted with Kiki." she steps back to watch.

Ike grabs a couple fish and kneels down, reaching out to the larger one who nudges his head, " hey there big girl, remember me? i know it's been an upheaval since Mara left us, but i see you're getting along pretty good with your new buddy huh?" he holds out the fish and Osono gently takes it, eating it and clicking.

Link blinks and watches ike, "mara? A different dolphin i take it?"

Ike nods, " yeah. She was older than Osono, and passed away a few months ago. dolphins do better in pairs or groups, and are very social, so Osono had a rough time and of course they had to scramble to find a new female companion for Osono. Thankfully Kiki had been rescued, she was wild but her tail is badly damaged from netting. So she isn;t able to be released, but instead she was brought here to see if they would be compatible friends. they get along well, and while Kiki is a bit skittish she takes cues from Osono, so she's been learning."

The girl crosses her arms, " the rescue said she was from a pod that was used to being around people, playing with swimmers. And they said she was super friendly while she was recovering. Guess she's still taking some time to get used to things here, we've only had her two months." She takes a fish and puts it in Links hand, " come on now, Kiki's been patiently waiting for you to pay attention to her. Give her the fish and go ahead and put your hand in the water, she'll decide if she wants to be friendly."

Link shudders slightly, "what uh... what does she do if she doesnt decide to be friendly?" He hesitantly kneels down, holding out the fish for kiki to take, "this has quickly become intimidating."

The girls snorts softly, " well, they are wild animals. if she decided to be aggressive she could potentially do a lot of damage. but she's never done that, the worst she's done is spray water and swim off. that's a pretty good sign she doesn;t like you, and then there'd be no getting into the water with her. And anyway we watch our animals carefully, we'd never permit a dolphin with even the slightest sign of aggressive tendencies to be a therapy animal." The dolphin plays with the fish a bit before taking it and swallowing it, clicking and bobbing her head in the water, nose hitting Links hand lightly. " Well that's a decent sign, seems like she's alright with you anyway."


Ike is rubbing Osono's tongue with his hand, the dolphin appearing to have fun gently grabbing his hand and letting him try to grab her tongue, clicking and bobbing her head slightly.

Link blinks and looks back at the girl, "I suppose you do have a point..." He looks back at kiki when she bops his hand and he gently rubs her, "She is very pretty..."

The girl chuckles, " well you're only seeing her head right now. once you see her back and tail you'll understand why she couldn;t be released into the wild." Kiki enjoys the attention, clicking softly. The girl nods, " alright you two, switch off. both of you need to get the approval of both dolphins before we can get into the water."

Ike nods and gives Osono a light slap before moving over to Link, grabbing another fish and offering it to Kiki, " hey there little girl, wanna be buds?" Kiki eyes him for a moment, not sure she wants to give up the attention she's getting from Link yet before snatching the fish, bobbing her head up and down and splashing them with some fish juice before eating it. Ike grimaces and wipes fish juice off his face, " well, that was nasty."

Link had backed up when Ike came over, luckily avoiding the juice, "Oh... ew." He chuckles and goes over to Osono, grabbing a fish and offering it to the dolphin, "Hey there Osono. Name's Link. Nice to meet you. I hope."

Osono watches Ike go, but gladly takes the fish from Link and rubs her snout against his hand happily, whistling softly.


Ike sighs and grabs another fish, playing a little tug-o-war with Kiki, " well, i think we've all made friends here."

Link smiles as he rubs Osono, "hey there girl~ arent you a sweetheart."

The dolphin whistles softly again, enjoying the attention.

The girl nods, " alright, i think that'll do. we can go ahead and get in the water now." she scoots off the edge into the pool, and Osono leaves Link to go brush up against her.

Kiki quickly snatches the fish away to eat it before following Osono, her clicking sounding excited. Ike chuckles and sits on teh edge of the pool before dropping into the water and swimming. " come on in, it's alright. i've never swam with Kiki, but Osono is a sweetheart and will help teach her manners im sure."

Link nods and carefully gets into the pool, sticking close to ike as he watches

The dolphins swim around them and bump against then, clearly getting playful as the humans are now in the pool. the girl grabs a few toys and tosses them into the pool, Kiki grabbing a large ring and bringing it over to Link to play with him.

Link looks at the ring and blinks, hesitantly grabbing it, "a ring?"

The girl chuckles, " yeah, you can either toss it for her or just play tug of war. they make fun toys to keep the dolphins happy." Kiki grabs the ring in Links hand, trying to pull it free.
