Ike hesitates and nods slowly, " i understand. im sorry you went through so much. though i doubt your family would want you to struggle to separate yourself from them. from what i've seen they love you very much and would love to have you close to them."

Link sighs softly and frowns, "i know. They would give up everything to have me live with them... and im trying to... make an effort. And trust me, i'm not struggling. Clearly. But i also want to be known as someone other than the rich kid who lives in the only mansion in the state. I just want to be me."

Ike hums, " yeah, i can get why that would be frustrating. though while you might be able to ditch the 'lives in the only mansion in the state' bit, you'll never get rid of the rich kid bit. even if you gave away all your money you'd be the rich kid who gave it all away. but hey, at least you don;t ever have to worry about not being able to cover medical expenses or afford food or rent."

Link rolls his eyes, "well yeah now i dont. The food thing really hits hard for me but i suppose being young i really didnt understand why our power went out sometimes. Or why mom never took me to the doctor when i got really sick. I know why now but back then i just thought that was normal for everyone." He frowns and sighs, "Dont tell the others that. I dont want them to know. They'll only feel bad even if there isnt anything they could have done about it."

Ike nods, " well yes, you endured hardship when you were young. but now you don't have to worry about it. anyway this conversation isn;t really getting us anywhere... so beyond keeping up with the pool chemicals, and cleaning the outdoor one, what else will i be expected to do you think?"

Link nods and hums, "not sure. I didn't really pay attention to what the last pool boy did with the pool."

Ike chuckles, " fair. well im sure your aunt will have a more detailed list of duties im expected to do."

link nods, "Yeah, im sure once you give her the information she needs then she'll have a more detailed list on what the pool boy does."

Ike nods, " fair. well, i've still got some time to kill... can i see your arcade?"

Link grins and takes ike's hand before leading down a few hallways, opening a set of double doors and switches on the lights, a giant room filled with arcade machines, ddr dance floors, ski ball, crane games and other large machine games, "here's the arcade!"

Ike grunts as suddenly he's dragged through the house, laughing softly. He blinks as the room is revealed and gapes, " holy shit."

Link chuckles and pulls ike in, "do you like the concrete sealed floor with the funky designs?  They glow thanks to all the black lights we have. Go ahead! Play whatever you want!  These games dont run with quarters or tokens."

" duh it's cool! wow, this place looks awesome!" he bites his lip as he debates playing some games, " alright, no more than an hour though, i should get home and get some shit done before work." he heads to one of the games and starts it up.

Link laughs and follows ike, "i'll time you then."

Ike grins, " thanks, i appreciate it." he bites his lip as he concentrates on the game.
