Ike nods, " sure thing. what do you want to know?"

Smith nods and pulls out a pen and notepad, "were you invited to Ganons party?"

Ike rubs the back of his neck, " ah....no."

Link frowns at the cop and huffs, feeling suddenly territorial, "Ganon didnt send out invitations that purposefully excluded ike. we won the game and afterwards he screamed, and i quote, party at my place. So the way i see it it was an open invitation and shouldnt be used against ike."

The other cop next to Smith raises an eyebrow at link and puffs out his chest, clearly having a higher authority complex, "and you were close enough to hear him make that claim?"

Link glares, "Yeah, my cousin is on the cheerleading squad and i was her ride that day so she could rest afterwards while i drove her home."

Ike shrugs, " i mean i was on the field too, i heard him yell it as well. hence how i knew about it."

Smith glances at ike and notes that info down before looking at his partner, trying to convey to him to not get his pants in a twist at the kid who is protected by the scary alpha woman was is also in said room.

Smith sighs before going back to ike, "alright so it is implied that it was an open invitation. Have you had issues with Ganon in the past?"

" well, we're on opposing teams, so he's never liked me obviously. He spouts a lot of idle threats."

Link huffs, "everyone has issues with ganon. No one says anything in fear of his daddy."

The cop gives link a dirty look.

Smith makes a note of this before sighing, "how intoxicated were you that night?"

Ike shakes his head, " barely at all. i had just gotten there and had had a single drink just before the confrontation, not even enough time for it to kick in. i was basically sober."

Smith nods and continues writing,  "did ganon tell you to leave before the fight? "

Ike shakes his head, " nope. just went directly for me, grabbed me and started kicking my ass."

Smith blinks and raises an eyebrow, "he only kicked your ass? You didn't fight back?"

Ike hums, " i hit him once after he grabbed me, gut shot to try and get him to drop me, but after that? all him."

Smith nods, "Alright then what is the purple bruising around his neck from?"

Link blushes a bit, "Ah that would actually be from me. Ganon had clearly won and yet wasnt stopping so i tried to get him to stop before he killed someone."
