Ike checks and hums, " uh, looks like i can make this sword thingy, and these two pieces of armor. should i do that?"

Link nods, "armor for sure,  check the stats of the weapons first. They are all different in their own way but better defense is always a good thing. Especially when you get good at dodging."

[Namari]

Ike nods, " alright. he has the armor crafted up and puts it on, " wow, i look... weird. anyway, what now? go kill something?"

Link nods, "let's go back and get going. If we kill those friendly creatures, collect their meat, and then poison it with some plants we could try to poison the big scary guy and get a better chance of killing him."

Ike nods, " alright, we can try that."

They load in and link quickly runs to the creatures

Ike follows and chops at the helpless herbivores, " die so i can harvest your delicious meats!"

Link also kills some smaller ones before going to some plants, "I'll collect the plants while you collect the meat."

Ike starts carving the herbivores, " got it. so do we have a backup plan if the poisoning this thing goes badly?"

"Running. Running is the plan." He chuckles softly and keeps harvesting. "After we kill this guy and go back to base more creatures will show up that will be stronger than the Jarga."

Ike grimaces, " got it. underhanded tactics and running like hell if they don't work. wait, stronger stuff? we can;t even kill this one without making a big to do about it."

[MissyLooni]

Link nods, "his body will give us good resources to get stronger. We'll probably have to kill him several times before getting enough to make armor and weapons out of him. Then we can go after the next creature. This game has a lot of monsters and when it comes to boss monsters this guy is at the bottom of the food chain."

Ike blinks, " oh, so instead of like leveling up to get stronger, we get stronger by making stronger armor and weapons?"

[MissyLooni]

Link nods, "Yeah! I think your profile technically levels up but that's just to kinda brag to other players."
