Ren blinks, confused, " why?" he tilts his head.

Orion rubs his arm,  "what if... i slip up? And the people we're with happen to be bad..."

Ren sighs, " i will help you. i will try to make sure that doesn;t happen, and we will be careful who we go with. if it comes down to it, i will protect you."

[MissyLooni]

Orion shudders, "But... what if you get hurt? I dont think i'd be able to live with myself."

[Namari]

Ren snorts, " i am strong, and we heal fast and cleanly. the chances of me being hurt is low. after all, i nearly got bitten in half by a giant fish and i have no marks to show for it. Don't fret, i can protect you. besides, it's my duty. you need the help, so i need to keep you safe."

[MissyLooni]

Orion nods and sighs, "Alright, if you're sure."

[Namari]

He nods, " i am certain. i will stay with you and see you to your destination. this is where i am supposed to be right now."

Orion blinks and looks up at ren, "You keep saying stuff like that. You're duty and... where you're supposed to be. How do you know?"

[Namari]

Ren chuckles, " well, my duty is because my people believe that leaving someone in need to fend for themselves is as bad as harming them yourself. so i will go with you. as for where im supposed to be... it simply feels right. as it felt right when i left my planet, and got a job on a ship. when i met Torque, and joined his crew. now it no longer feels right to stay here, it feels right to go with you."

Orion's face turns a darker shade of blue and he looks down, his ears lowering, "o-ohh...."

Ren chuckles softly, " does that bother you? i have followed this feeling my whole life, so continuing to do so is what i will do."

[MissyLooni]

Orion jerks up to look at ren, "ah its fine! I just- im not used to someone wanting to be with me. "

Ren blinks and nods, " ah, i understand. there are many things that are new for you. that's alright, i will try to keep that in mind."

[MissyLooni]

Orion bites his lip, "you dont... have to keep that in mind. I like it. Makes me feel important. "

Ren blinks slowly, looking carefully at Orion, " you are important. you are a person, with your own mind and have a right to being treated that way. i know i don't have to, but you are my friend, and i dislike making you uncomfortable because of things i've forgotten."
