Orion takes the ration and blinks at it. He does his best not to make a face, "Well.... it's not like I would know where to go or what to do if I even was permitted. I can walk around Master's house as I please but if he needs me then he activates my collar with a location and I go to him. And... there's no reason to pay me? If I want something I get it."

Renshajoh makes a disgusted noise before tearing open the bag, " then you permit yourself to be caged, like a pet. im not certain which is worse..." he eats the rations quickly, sharp teeth making short work of it.

Orion blushes and glances at the ground, "I.... dont have a choice regardless. I am the last of my kind, I have no identification, and no idea what is beyond the planet I had been on..."

Renshajoh pauses, " that... is hard. i am sorry to hear that. but you have a chance now. my kind do not have much in the way of identification, we are fairly primitive as far as technology goes. we learn fast however. and there's always time to learn. i have studied much about other planets and their customs since i left home."

Orion frowns and gently picks at the ration pack, "I appreciate your words, truly. You are not like the other men here... However, a new life for myself seems to be overwhelming and I just want to be back with Master. He treats me kindly, much kinder than others and I wish to go back to him on my own volition. That being said I wish for you to not call me slave. I am a servant, yes but for the short time that I am here you may call me by my name. Orion."

Renshajoh snorts, " you've likely never met one of my kind. we prize freedom and personal choice. our planet is harsh, but we'd gladly endure hardship than let our lives be ruled by another." he snorts, " Orion, why am i not surprised. You can call my whatever you like, i don;t care. you wouldn;t be able to pronounce my actual name anyway."

Orion blinks and frowns, "Well of course I've never met one of your kind. I barely know most of the other races... but... I want to know your name. It's only proper etiquette."

Renshajoh chuckles softly, " very well. it's Renshajoh." he pronounces it with a throaty croon and several hisses, barely understandable. " Good luck trying to say it however. my peoples vocal cords seem to be far more flexible than most races, not to mention the tongue..."

Orion stares at him briefly, blinking now and then before looking down, "ah.... Ren!" he jerks his head up to look at the lizard man

Renshajoh blinks, then sighs, " i suppose that's close enough to suffice..."

Orion looks at his ration pack again before frowning and holding it out to Ren, "May I please ask for assistance? I have never opened whatever this is."

Renshajoh takes it and uses his teeth to tear it open before handing it back, " enjoy freeze dried nutritional sustenance." he paws through a few cabinets and the fridge, finding a frozen fish and chewing on that while he waits.

Orion takes the pack back and hesitantly takes a bite, chewing slightly before making a face, "oh.... I feel as though that may have been sarcasm.....considering what this tastes like..."

Renshajoh laughs softly, " yeah, that was sarcasm. but it has all your nutritional needs, so it'll suffice." he crunches the raw frozen fish between his teeth, tearing off chunks and eating with obvious enjoyment.

Orion makes weird smacking noises as he does his best to swallow whats in his mouth, "Ah... umm.... when do you think I'll get to go home?"
