The husband nods, "do what you want son. Thanks." He goes to the barn

Ren jogs to the pond and leaps in, letting the chilly water cool him off. Once he's back to a normal temp he climbs out and shakes off, heading for the house and putting his clothes on once he's somewhat dry. He knocks at the door, wanting to check on Orion.

The wife opens the door and smiles, "hey hon. Come on in. Your little friend is getting some clothes on since his was all dirty."

Ren nods, " i apologize for the mess he made of himself. i did not think he would do that."

[MissyLooni]

The wife laughs and lets ren in before closing the door, "hon its no worries! He has a thirst for knowledge that i do appreciate and its been so long since I've seen his kind so i have been having tons of fun. He seems to get the idea of baths and i didnt have to watch him so its already much easier than giving one of my other kids a bath."

Ren nods, " i... am surprised you have seen his kind. they are not... really around anymore. i am glad he did not give you too much trouble about getting clean, he had difficulty with cleaning himself previously."

"My mother way back when was a very good doctor and our home planet was actually pretty close to the galakin planet so she would visit and take me with when my father couldnt watch me. They were a very kind race and i got to learn a lot about them. "

Ren nods slowly, " you ought to talk with him, he never really got to know his people, im sure he'd enjoy hearing about them from someone who knew them."

[MissyLooni]

She looks solemn and sighs, "im sure he wouldnt mind hearing about them..." she gives ren a very cautious look, "i saw his collar. I would hardly think a basilisk would ever have a slave considering their history but i... have to ask...is he... yours?"

Ren nods in agreement, though when she starts asking about his collar and owning a slave he bristles, red streaks flaring across his scales. He stops himself however, taking a moment and calming down before responding, " no, he is definitely NOT. he is in my care for the time being, and i would like to free him. but he wishes to go back to the man that owns him and has done so since his childhood." he grits his teeth, tail lashing in anger.

The woman gives a relieved sigh, placing her hand over her chest, "i figured but i just needed to make sure so i would try ta kill ya later." She goes over to the sink and frowns, "i'm honestly not surprised by any of that. The moment i saw him i knew he had to be a slave. After what happened to their planet, the only ones that would be still alive would have been children that were kidnapped and traded."

Ren snorts, " even if i were his owner, i suggest not attempting to kill a basilisk. we don;t die easily." he sighs, " as far as im aware, and everyone else who knows about him, he's the last of his kind."

[MissyLooni]

She shakes her head, "he wasnt the first child to be kidnapped. It was a huge problem once miners were brought to the planet. So... even if its wishful thinking i do hope he isnt the only one."

[Namari]

Ren nods, " indeed. it would be good if there were others out there. i just wish i could convince him to be free instead of going back to bondage."

[MissyLooni]

She sighs softly, "well he's probably been brainwashed to think that thats where he needs to be...but eventually he'll understand whats best for him. Hopefully."

After a little bit a very clean orion comes downstairs in some fresh clothes.
