Topic: The long road, a pokemon journey (Namari x missylooni)

[Namari]

Satoshi makes his way to the fence and leans against it, " hard to know, they're finicky. They only obey people they find worthy. We only need one to find you acceptable." He whistles softly and the horse Pokemons heads lift, looking over before they start Nov ng towards the two men at the fence.

[MissyLooni]

Dipper leans on the fence, "aaaahh...well hopefully one does like me.  Not sure what I could do to make any of them like me if I get turned down the first time. These polemom are all about consent and I'm not the pushy type."

[Namari]

Satoshi shrugs, " we'll see. there are ways to prove yourself if they don't reject you outright."

Most of the ponyta go to Satoshi, sniffing at him curiously and only giving Dipper passing glances. a couple Ponyta however take more interest in the new man, shuffling near the fence and bumping into each other as if hesitating to be the first to go forward. Eventually a smaller male gets kind of shoved forward and he edges closer, tossing his head and reaching out to sniff before he gets close enough to touch Dipper, sniffing his hands before sniffing his hair.

[MissyLooni]

Dipper obviously doesn't move, waiting for the horse to figure out if he's friend or foe, "hey little guy. Just here hoping to make a new friend. "

[Namari]

The ponyta snorts a bit, looking back at the others and nickering softly. The group that were contemplating soon come over to sniff him and check him out.

Satoshi chuckles, " first hurdle jumped. here, bribery would only put them off if you'd offered it before they accepted you, now you can give out treats." he walks over to rapidash and pulls a bag of treats from her saddlebag, opening it and taking a handful out. He gives one to Rapidash and hands the bad to Dipper before using the ones he has to draw the ponyta who are uninterested in dipper away from him into another paddock.

"Oooo! Treats! Thanks." Dipper happily takes the bag and starts offering the treats to the ponyta that sticks close to him

[Namari]

Satoshi closes the others into a separate area to keep them from getting int he way before coming back. " there, you'll be able to go in if you want without the others pestering you."

many of the ponyta take treats from Dipper, clearly warming up to him at least somewhat. The small male shoves a few others as he tries to get most of the treats.

Dipper laughs as he enjoys watching the ponyta go after the treats. he looks up at Satoshi and nods, "In a bit. these guys are all over the treats so it'll be hard to get in."

[Namari]

Satoshi nods, " i think that male might be our best candidate, or at least the biggest treat hog. hard to tell. he's always had a bit of an attitude."

A few of the ponyta wander off, the excitement of a new person wearing off as they go to find good spots to graze.

[MissyLooni]

Dipper chuckles, "Sounds good to me. I'll just have to make sure I have plenty of treats then."

[Namari]

Satoshi chuckles, " well it'd be one way to get him to tolerate you."

The male sniffs around for more treats and shoves his nose into Dippers chest.

Dipper makes a soft 'oof' sound before chuckling, "alright, alright." He pulls out another treat from the bag that he hid, holding it out for the ponyta, "but no more for a hot minute okay? You'll make yourself sick."

[Namari]

The ponyta takes it and crunches it with satisfaction, he knew he'd smelled another one.

Dipper smiles before going over to satoshi, "he's a treat fiend that's for sure."

[Namari]

Satoshi shakes his head, " well, he seems to like you, at least somewhat. hopefully that'll be enough to get you on his back. That's the difficult thing about ponyta, they're picky about their riders. and ours are no different, we breed them for speed and agility so they're in demand regardless. it's easier when you bond with them from birth, that's why my family has each of us bond with a foal when we're young, so we grow up together. makes for a bond that's nigh unbreakable." he scratches rapidashes neck affectionately. " anyway it's looking promising that he'll accept you for the drive so that'll be good. they know what to do, so just let him have his head and he'll get the work done."
