The manager puts her phone away and looks at Nikiri, " you have my thanks"

Izanagi slides to the floor in the kitchen, " holy fuck..."

nikiri gives a weak smile, "Ah sorry for the mess. if i could get a mop then i'll happily clean this."

[Namari]

The manager nods, " of course." she gently guides Mina to the back and sits her down, grabbing a mop and bucket which she hands to Nikiri before getting Hikari to make a cup of tea which she gives to Mina to help her calm down.

Mina takes the cup and sniffles, sipping softly, "thank you..."

Takana shudders and goes over to izanagi, "does that always happen?"

Nikiri hums as he mops up

Izanagi shakes his head, " no... that was pretty unusual. i don;t think he was from this district, he shouldn;t have been here."

Takana huffs, "what an asshole. Im glad he's taken care of then. "

Izanagi nods, " yeah... im kind of surprised Arakan didn't kill him outright. But i guess what Nikiri said about finding out information made sense."

As nikiri mops the blood up something clatters to the floor and he blinks, seeing one of his many charms that are normally hung on his antlers on the floor. He frowns and sighs before bending down and picking it up, grimacing. His family charms never broke off easily...

[Namari]

Izanagi sighs, " and what the hell were you thinking? were you gonna go face that guy? he'd have killed you!"

takana blinks and looks at izanagi, frowning, "Excuse me? She was being harassed by a creep! Of course im going to step in to try to help."

Nikiri pockets his charm to inform his father later. The last time a warding charm broke so carelessly a damn war occurred. An ill omen for sure.

[Namari]

Izanagi huffs, " things are different here. you only would have made things worse. Arakan was coming, the manager had alerted him. our job is to keep things calm until someone who can match the threat comes to deal with it. you only would have died or gotten him pissed and gotten someone else killed! maybe even the manager, since she would have felt the need the step in to protect you."

Takana blinks and glares at izanagi, "Dont get an attitude! for one, how was i supposed to know arakan was coming in time and two, I cant help but want to jump in and help someone! Call it a bad habit or reckless or whatever you want but I cant help it!"

Nikiri finishes mopping and glances over at the two boys arguing and he holds back the urge to snarl. He was not in the mood. A rare thing indeed...
He sets the mop aside before going over to them placing a hand on both of their shoulders, "Enough." his tone was short and harsh.

Takana flinches since he wasnt used to nikiri being anything but playful and he quickly shuts up

Izanagi was about to reply when Nikiri comes and he instantly quiets, it was clear that was an order. He slowly raises his eyes to look at Nikiri, " sorry..."

Nikiri gives a quiet nod of approval, patting the boy's shoulders gently before grabbing the mop and going back to the manager, "Yosh~ all done moppin' boss! Anything else I can do to help out until closing time?"

Mina's parents step inside the cafe, looking terrified until they see their daughter. The husband looks relieved while the mother quickly rushes over to her, "Mina!"

Mina lets go of the manager and quickly grabs onto her mother, hugging her tightly, "Mother!"

Takana's ears twitch as he watches the two women hug each other. He couldnt help but feel a bit sad as he thought of his own mother.

Hikari busies herself with work, not wanting to even acknowledge the family

The manager nods to Nikiri, " you've done plenty, please relax and anything you'd like let us know so we can get it for you right away." she takes the mop and smiles when Mina's parents get there, " apologies for making you come out here, she's fine but it's best if she takes a few days off."
