Takana sighs, "Ah but i dont plan on staying in this district forever so im not sure if i want to start a lease. after all i also found out that my brother is looking for me and i pray he doesnt. I know he'll come over here to be with me and i- as much as i would love to see the only person alive who likes me this place is dangerous and different. he has it really good over there since he's the favorite and i dont want him here. I'd rather figure out how to get back and just find a new place with him."

Arakan raises an eyebrow, " he's in another district? our district isn;t any worse than any of the other ones."

takana looks at him and frowns, "he's still on the human side, living with the family that i lived with. they always liked him more and he.... kind of lives the lap of luxury. he certainly has a a lot more um freedom then i did and he got everything he wanted. but he was the only one who i actually cared about. If i have issues following the rules here then there's no way i want to have him here. its not safe."

Arakan frowns, " regardless of how nice he has it, it's not safe for him to live with humans."

takana shakes his head, "maybe if we grew up here and are therefore trained to your rules then sure but that is not what we are. we were raised alongside humans and act as such. for example, i can easily and happily see one of my friends on the street and shout at him, calling him an asshole for not responding to a text and his response would be to laugh at me and flip me off. thats normal. here? apparently such an act warrants a slaughter and i still dont understand why. He wouldnt last a day and I would rather be killed then have him ever come here."

Arakan frowns, " perhaps, however if those humans who do not know him see he's an uncollared demon as you were, he will be killed. they will not stop to ask why, they will simply put him down."

Takana shakes his head, "im sorry but he is staying where he is. end of story. i already know for a fact that his chances of getting killed are higher here. "

Arakan shakes his head, " you've been here such a short time, you've already seen how cruel humans can be, yet you still think they are safer than we are. foolish. you betray your kind."

Takana sighs, "currently you've tried to kill me more than anyone else i know. im not doubting that humans are cruel. its quite obvious that they are. But i cant say I have felt safer here then back home."

Arakan raises an eyebrow, " humans must be extremely tolerant then, because you can be the most insulting and provoking rude person i've met. they really must have wanted you to breed and be their pet project if they encouraged such behavior."

Takana's face turns a deep red and his ears shift back before he huffs, "they just dont have this weird rank system that demons use since they're all equally useless. I grew up being taught that who you are shouldnt be a factor in how you're treated but rather your actions. You're one of the few people that can push my buttons like this so i'm sure thats why ive been so 'insulting' and 'rude' "

Arakan shakes his head, " you do realize you've been like this since the very start? my first actions were to get you an id, which is not an easy thing to fabricate, and a free collar. one that fits well no less. i could have let you keep that one that would rip up your neck but you literally got pissed at me for making sure you wouldn't be hurt or in trouble here."

Takana sighs, getting frustrated, "And i didnt know that. my first impression of you was orders with no explanation why. sure, if i knew then what i know now i probably would have been better but i didnt know shit. i had no idea how important these stupid things were and i didnt know why i had to go into a terrifying chair that straps you down that tightly in a manner that i have only seen in horror movies. nothing was explained to the person who grew up in the human world, being treated as a human from the sounds of it. So of course I had been short with you! Every time I've been nice to you is because i have seen you actively be kind and i actually know why you are being nice so I try to be nice back! Even now I made enough food for you to have something to eat because thats pretty much the only thing I can do here!"

Arakan sighs, " you've got a lot to get used to here, things are very different. But you have to understand the people who you've seen me attack? that's the exception, not the norm. Most demons will protect those of lower rank, presuming the lower ranked ones provide them with the respect they deserve."

"There! What you just said! I dont get that either! I wasnt taught to just outright give any pompous bastard full respect just because they demand it! I grew up where if you wanted respect then you needed to behave like a respectful person and EARN the respect from individual people and not just that you can swing your dick around! Thats fear, not respect! The more i figure out how this place works the more im convinced thats its better for me to just go back. and i will. as soon as i find a loophole with the guards fuckery i am out of here."
