Takana turns bright red and his ears twitch before he quietly goes back to the food. Right. The invite to a movie wasnt for him... nothing here was for him in a way. It was strange. He had never been this insecure before, even when he found himself in the arms of a man for the first time he only felt excitement and.... well horny if anything, but he always was confident in whatever he did. Maybe this was a mistake...

Izanagi sighs again, " i wonder when they'll announce the date... Arakan's gonna be crankier than normal soon... he always gets really tense around inspection time, not that i blame him... he's got so much pressure to deal with..."

Takana is still quiet as he grabs a bowl and carefully fills it neatly with noodles, a very meaty and flavorful broth, slices of thick glazed ham, a soft boiled egg which is halved so the yolk is spilling a little, green onions and some nori on the side. An authentic, but delicious homemade ramen.
He grabs a pair of chopsticks before going over to Izanagi and holds out the food, "um... here...you seemed to like ramen cups so i thought you'd like this..."

Izanagi blinks and carefully takes it, " i wouldn;t have complained no matter what you made, but this looks awesome! i don;t think i've ever seen ramen so fancy." he fumbles a bit with the chopsticks, but manages to get a bite into his mouth, and gasps as he covers his mouth with his hand, " mmmmmm!" he swallows, " that's so good!"

His ears immediately perk up and he blinks, "Yeah? You really like it?"

Izanagi nods his ehad quickly and takes a few quick bites, panting a bit as the hot meal burns his mouth, " hot hot!"

Takana chuckles, "well im glad you like it. I made plenty thinking maybe nikiri would stick around for dinner but thats okay. Just means there is plenty for leftovers tomorrow after work."

Izanagi makes pleased noises as he slurps up his meal, tipping the bowl up and drinking the broth down when he reaches the end of the noodles and solid stuff, " aaaaaah.... wow. are you a chef or what?"

Takana smiles and shakes his head, "nah. I just got spoiled on an actual chef. But when i went to college i lived in an apartment that could only really hold me so since i was already kind of spoiled i learned to cook myself so that i could still eat good foods. And i like cooking. A lot actually. But i like genetics more so i wont be a chef anytime soon."

Izanagi snorts, " good luck with you living here. but you should totally talk to the manager about working in the kitchen sometimes. especially since you're uh... not the best with all our customers... no offense. but this would be a huge hit!"

[MissyLooni]

Takana sighs, "you're not wrong about my customer service. Usually when i'm approached by anyone its never been for a good reason so i have built up quite a bit of a rude wall." He grabs a bowl for himself and goes over to izanagi, "there's more if you're still hungry. And are you sure about the kitchen thing? Your place is kinda a cutsey cafe style so i'm not sure if something so savory would work. Although to be fair i can make a lot of different things."

Izanagi shrugs, " i mean there's a lot of sweet things, but that's because that's what our chef knows how to make best. im sure the manager will be willing to try anything out. worst comes to worst the customer doesn;t like it and gets refunded. not a awful outcome."

[MissyLooni]

Takana nods, "i suppose.... if she will have me do anything like that, we can slowly introduce items like paninis and i have an amazing bagel recipe. It makes a lot of bagels so i would make a batch and freeze a bunch and then eat that for breakfast with either cream cheese or i turn it into a breakfast sandwhich with an omlete inside. That could kinda go with coffee and tea items... ah but we would have to see first. Do you think i should bring a little of the ramen tomorrow for her to try so she knows i actually can cook and not just talking out of my ass?"

Izanagi nods, " yeah i bet that's a good idea. do that. all that sounds awesome."

Takana chuckles and happily slurps up his ramen
