Topic: To Cross That Line (Namari x Missylooni)

"Isabelle will come back over as soon as she can. She texted me yesterday... something about a cruise that she didn't want to go to? I wouldn't put it past my step mother to suddenly decide to have a family vacation if no one is spending enough time doing whatever she wants them to do."

[Namari]

She taps her chin thoughtfully, " hm...sudden and undesired. just as things begin to change, how unfortunate. or perhaps not simply fortune, i will have to look into this. it has the feel of an ill wind." She looks at him and frowns a little, " it was Nikiri who set you up with those ears yes? i will contact him, this is perhaps your best opportunity to speak with him without interference." she sends him a quick text without waiting.

Takana blinks and frowns a little, "um yeah nikiri did help get me these ears, whydo you ask? "

Nikiri sees his phone light up with a text and he opens it up,
my goodness what a pleasant surprise getting a text from you~♡ how may I be of service?

[Namari]

" just... something i've noticed." Takana will be being escorted home shortly by Indigo, if you have time, there seems to be something strange going on with those ears you gave him. take a look if you would. Indigo can be sent outside while you are there if you feel it needed.

nikiri blinks as he reads the text, frowning, be right there
He gets up and quickly heads to the house. It doesnt take him long, he is fast after all.
He knocks on the door politely

[Namari]

She opens the door and lets him in, " Nikiri, your speed is apprecaited. i've never seen things like these before, so im not entirely sure what im seeing with it."

[MissyLooni]

Nikiri nods, "of course."

Takana comes down and looks at them both, "that was fast."

Nikiri looks at Takana, "well I am the one who gave the ears to you so I am responsible." He smiles at arakans mother, giving a nod to her before going over to takana and touching the ears, "do you have the ring with you?"

Takana blinks and nods. He pulls out his apartment key ring which also has the ring on it and after some finagling he manages to get the ring free, "do you want me to remove the ears?"

Nikiri nods, "Yeah why don't you do that for me since we have some time. Have you been taking them off regularly?"

Takana snorts softly and puts the ring on, "between work, arakan and then kaiten when have I had time to do that?"

Nikiri looks at the mother, "but you can definitely tell something is off with the ears? I wish I could see what you're  seeing."

[Namari]

She nods, " indeed. it appears... more natural. i see where it connects, but it is less distinct than it was before. if i could give you my sight for this i would, though i've never seen this before so i doubt you would be able to decipher any more than i can."

Takana finds the band,  the ears twitching as the ring shuts them down only when he gets his fingers around the band and pulls it doesn't immediately come off and he can't help but yelp in pain

Nikiri quickly looks at Takana and frowns,  "oh gods don't tell me they're stuck."

Takana feels his stomach drop and he tugs again, hissing softly as he tries to ignore the pain

Nikiri pulls out his phone, "I am going to have to give my friend a call. When I went to his place for the ears he had a few humans show me their ears and none of them attached themselves this badly. One girl even kept hers on 24/7 but she could still easily take them."

[Namari]

She frowns, " well, i thought it seemed bad, but i didn't imagine it was that bad. i'll inform indigo he won;t be meeting here, deal with this quickly."

[MissyLooni]

Nikiri's phone beeps and he takes a look at it before putting his phone away, "alright you, you're coming with me."
He picks takana up and throws him over his shoulder.

Takana gives another yelp and puts his hands on Nikiri's back for support, "wha-what do you mean?"

Nikiri sighs, "my friend wants to see you asap and since they choose the hidden life I have to take you to them. They don't leave their home."

Takana whines and looks at arakan's mother, "i-its not that bad! I can just keep the ears! I actually really like them!! I don't want to go to some weirdos place!"

[Namari]

She looks at him and raises an eyebrow, " if you cannot handle this, then you certainly would not be able to handle the duties required. i will go with." her collar crackles as her form shifts to a silvery blue phoenix, about double the size of a swan. She lifts her wings and flaps them, her collar crackling around her neck the entire time as she prepares to follow Nikiri.

[MissyLooni]

Nikiri looks over curiously, "um... well i cant stop you if you wish to come with but we are going through the sewers sooo.... well maybe you'll want to fly in there. keep your legs out of the water."

Takana shrieks, "THE SEWERS?!"

[Namari]

She nods her head, some ice forming around her neck between it and the collar to minimize the damage. she leaps into the air to follow Nikiri.

[MissyLooni]

Nikiri rushes off into the streets, taking backroads and staying mostly in the shadows as he traverses further away from the districts center.
It doesnt take him long to reach the very edge of the districts territory, trash in abundance as the surrounding corner looks very much abandoned for good reasons. it stinks.

Takana gags softly and covers his nose with his hands.

Nikiri uses one foot to push the sewer man hole cover open, "Alright here we go, uh ladies first?" he looks over at the blue phoenix, "I will need to close this up once we go in of course."
