Yori laughs, " mario kart works." He hands controllers to each of the girls and turns the system on, " so, we pick characters, and the goal is to get across the finish line faster than everyone else. it'll take a bit to get the hang of it."

Phae happily plops onto the couch, feeling a lot better.

Seraphi blinks and sits next to her sister

Yori talks Seraphi through picking a character and car, and how to play.

Arakan recalls he had wanted to text Shiro, now that the chaos was over. Shiro, do you know what her reason for being here was? also, Bakemono. He was detained forcibly yes? You may offer him sanctum here, however it would be under the condition he swear himself to me. I don;t expect him to go against your brother, only to not betray me. delete this after you read it.

Shiro reads the message and frowns.

He still hasn't entered the throne room again to see if bakemono was released, but he knew persephone failed her mission given the screaming match happening in the throne room.
He sighs softly before responding, I have no idea. I was only in the throne room for a second when I found bakemono in a barrier and he pretty much told me to text you and to get the hell out of the room before my brother came back. I'll inform you once I get a chance to speak with him again. Can't right now. My brother and his aunt are in the  throne room now having a screaming match and I'd rather not be a punching bag right now. I am glad she failed though. Have a nice day

as am i. i would appreciate an update when you are able. Arakan pockets his phone, sighing. well, it had only happened the day before, it would have taken time for Persephone to get back.

Shiro sighs softly and creeps closer to the doorway into the throne room, listening to Persephone's screeching. he quietly presses the record button on his phone in case.

Persephone slams koshi into the floor as hard as she could, practically spitting as she yells at him, "-AND YOU DIDNT THINK TO TELL ME?! YOU THINK I WOULD HAVE JUST WALTZED MY ASS INTO THAT DISTRICT IF I HAD AN INKLING THAT RYOKAN WAS STILL IN CHARGE?!"

Koshi gives a pained cough and he keeps himself as still as possible, "n-no! Bakemono told me that he only saw arakan running around."

Bakemono watches, sitting on the floor, still stuck in the barrier, "yeah. thats exactly what i said. i saw arakan running around the district. I never said he was the leader."

Persephone snarls and punches Koshi across the face, "PATHETIC. Consider my owing you completed regardless of whether i was successful or NOT. You're lucky i dont kill you now as long as you are already lying on the ground. Your brother may be an oddity however he is not nearly so foolish. he would be a better leader than you." she stands up and snarls, removing the barrier on bakemono, "The last thing I want is to fuck with ryokan so the next time you come begging me for help you better make sure you have all of your information."

Arakan hurries around the district, trying to make sure everything is in place for when it opens.

Yori keeps playing with the girls, making sure to give himself handicaps so they have a better chance.

shiro steps away from the doorway and quickly heads to his room, sending arakan the recording.

Bakemono grumbles and quickly scatters from the room, not wanting to deal with his aunt

Arakan blinks and excuses him to listen to the recording, humming softly in thought, " i wonder what he did that she owed him... at least i know she fears my father. so long as he's still willing to act, she'll hesitate to return." if you get a chance, please relay my offer to bakemono. if it's safe to do so of course.

it takes a few hours for arakan to get a response, 'oi icy prince. its bakemono. i'll give the shit heads phone back once im done addressing your 'offer'. first of all, the reason why persephone came to kidnap your boytoy was because he is weak enough to control yet with his unique background can have an induced pregnancy to ensure the child is born a wendigo which would be a terrifying combo with koshi's family powers. Given the recent failure that my aunt faced i can say with confidence she wont be kidnapping takana with the intentions of handing him over to Koshi so at least there is that. As for joining your little weenie hut junior i will have to pass. I am to lead koshi to victory regardless of whether i want to or not. 'Sides. unlike the maggot over here I can actually get close to koshi. something that might provide use in the future. have a pleasant life.

Arakan snorts softly, if you wish to stay by the side of someone who watched you be imprisoned without a single care for you, so be it. makes no difference to me. thank you for the information at least.

shiro takes his phone back from bakemono and waits until bakemono leaves before responding, sorry for bakemono's rude words. he wouldnt talk to me, just told me to hand over my phone for a second. he isnt lying, he has a seal on his hand that is connected to our mother that keeps bakemono in check. i havent seen it actually used but bakemono also hasnt done anything to warrant mother to use the seal. having him in your district would be a danger to you
