Nikiri shakes his head, "despite how his ignorance towards rules he seems to like working and pulling him out early would just upset him. Id rather he have a proper routine to follow. A schedule is the best thing you can do for a child."

Takana doesnt even hear their conversation since he's too focused on doing his job

The manager nods, " true. well i give you full permission to do as you see fit. for the time being... i've got some paperwork i can file away since im not losing an employee today after all."

Nikiri hums and sits back at his booth, now alone as he watches takana

The pink haired man proudly shows up his cup of coffee to hikari who just raises her eyebrows, generally unimpressed with everything

The rest of the workday passes and when its done Izanagi changes back to his regular outfit, " alright. oh i forgot, Takana wanted to go shopping and get some stuff to cook with, is that okay Nikiri? we can put that off if you want to get back to my place and get to work on him."

Nikiri hums softly before shrugging, "I can tag along. its been a while since I've been to the market myself."

Takana changes and goes over to izanagi, "Ready to go?" he has no clue about nikiri joining them

Izanagi, " alright." he looks at Takana, "we're all set!" he heads for the door, " we're going to the market near the border."

Takana follows behind izanagi

Takana glances back at nikiri and frowns before looking at izanagi, "Dude why is he following us?"

Izanagi sighs, " he's following us because he needs to teach you how to not get yourself killed here and you don't listen to me. so get used to it."

Takana's eyes widen and he looks between nikiri and izanagi, "you cant be serious."

Nikiri nods, "very serious. But we can wait to discuss such things in the privacy of izanagi's home."

Izanagi nods, " i don't want you dead, and you don;t listen to me. ergo, him. it's your own fault really. anyway, heres the store." he heads into a grocery store, the shelves half stocked at best and things looking rather pitiful compared to what Takana is used to with full sholves, bright lights and trays overflowing with vibrant fresh produce. Most of the produce here was wilted or misshapen, some with visible bad spots. Izanagi goes over to some yellow bananas with lots of spots, " oooo we got some fresh ones here, these are nice! not total mush for once."

Takana blinks and frowns when he sees the store, huffing and putting his hands on his hips, "hmm this... is a bit disappointing... but to be expected i guess..."

Nikiri glances at takana and raises an eyebrow, "oh? How so?"

Takana looks at nikiri, "everything here sucks for you guys. Its not fair that you guys cant have the same exact services as the human side."

Nikiri shrugs, "let me ask you this. Have you always thought that? Or just now that you are stuck here?"

Takana blinks and frowns, "i... what? I never thought of it. Its not something they tell us."

"Oh? And what do they tell you? What you want to hear to make you feel better?"

Takana freezes a bit because.... yeah he wasnt what that asnwer was... "i... i dont know. I just know that i grew up with people not giving me orders. "

Izanagi snorts, " how nice for you. here the humans give us orders, and the higher rank demons do as well. though Arakan usually does it to keep everyone as safe as possible."

Takana huffs, "Yeah but he's rude about it."

Nikiri hums softly, "from the sounds of it, not only are you dealing with a race issue but also a class issue. luckily i have experience with such people."

Takana sighs and continues shopping, grabbing the best he can get. luckily he wasnt planning on getting fruit which seemed to be the worst looking stuff

Izanagi rolls his eyes, " he's allowed to be rude about it. there's only one person stronger than him is this district and that's his father. would a human sass another human who's being rude who also has a gun pointed at their face? i doubt it."

Takana frowns, "....well no. But you are not allowed to hold a gun to someone's face regardless. We have rules and regulation with guns and only certain people can have them. You even have to take a class and have an analysis to ensure you're mentally fit to own a gun. "
