Topic: To Cross That Line (Namari x Missylooni)

[Namari]

Arakan checks to make sure there's nothing more he really needs, that he's clean and presentable but not looking like he's trying to impress them, and sighs, heading to the door. " lets get this over with."

[MissyLooni]

Takana nods and starts heading to the gate, "nothings gonna happen as long as I'm with you. No worries."

[Namari]

Arakan looks at him doubtfully, " i think you over-estimate this hold you have over him."

[MissyLooni]

Takana makes a soft grunt sound, "hope not. We were apparently in a relationship for 5 years up until he told me he was marrying his fiancé that I never knew about..." takana's tone was incredibly sour near the end of that sentence, his ears moving back in anger.

[Namari]

Arakan growls, " somehow that does not surprise me. though my opinion of him is low." he stops when they get near. " i will stay back here, around the corner. They will be on edge if they see me. Im relying on you."

[MissyLooni]

Takana nods before smiling up at arakan, "don't worry~ I'm not one for letting people down." He turns and runs over to the gate, "Curtissss!!"

The guards flinch and look over. They quickly begin to get up from their posts to aim their guns at takana until they see their Captain hold up his hand to them. He mutters something to them quietly and they stand down and go back to playing with their deck of cards.

Curtis goes up to takana and sighs, "you're still alive. Thank goodness. I figured you would have been killed by now."

Takana sighs, "They're not that bad, man. You just think that because you haven't had any positive experiences with them. It's only been about your job which is very stressful, I get it."

Curtis grunts, "it's not like any of them would even approach us. We hate them and they hate us."

Takana gently puts his hands on Curtis' chest and looks up at him, "don't you think this has gone long enough? They need our help, and we need theirs too. Why can't we all just work together for once?"

Curtis blushes as he looks at Takana before groaning slightly, "look, if you knew a demon that wouldn't outright kill me then fine. I'll listen to what they have to say, but I can't make any promises. That would be up to your father and you know that."

Takana nods, "I do actually have a friend with me. Would you be okay talking to him?"

Curtis sighs, "fiiine..." He turns to look at his men, "everything is okay. Take a 15 minute break, I'm going to talk in private with Takana."

The guards nod and set their cards down before leaving their station, a couple of them waving at Takana since they know him.

Takana turns to look behind him, where he knows Arakan is hiding

Arakan takes a breath to steady himself and walks out, keeping his head high and his gait confident as he walks over. He looks at Curtis without a change in expression, " Curtis."

[MissyLooni]

Curtis' face falls slightly, however he doesn't make any negative comment. Of course it would have been Arakan, "ah... Arakan."

Takana smiles at both of them, "Curtis, please hear Arakan out seriously, okay? "

Curtis glances at Takana and takes a deep breath before looking back at Arakan, nodding slightly, "What seems to be on your mind today, Arakan?"

[Namari]

Arakan nods to Takana before looking back at Curtis, " First things first, things need to change. The tension between demons and human can't continue to rise like this, or something will eventually give. I intend to change things before someone gets killed and things get even worse. Now, if you'd like to avoid bloodshed, then perhaps we can sit and talk."

[MissyLooni]

Curtis huffs, "we're just doing our jobs."

Takana jabs Curtis in the side with his elbow, glaring, "if another war broke out then you'd be on the battlefield,  possibly killed, and then your poooor NEW wife would be a widow. "

Curtis grumbles, "you're still mad about this? I thought we talked about this. "

Takana glares at Curtis, "you were with her for seven years and me for five. At the same time! And you only married her because you got her pregnant! You're a pig!"

Curtis glares at Takana,  "maybe if you weren't so hot headed I would have picked you over her! "

[Namari]

Arakan rubs the bridge of his nose, " can you bicker about this later? your jobs are to keep the 'aggressive bloodthirsty' demons under control right? if we aren't that, then you don;t have to try and keep us under control. Are you seriously not even willing to discuss it?"

[MissyLooni]

Curtis gives another glare in takana's direction before looking at arakan,  "look, we could talk all day but it's not like I could make things change. I can pass information to  had of command but at the end of the day I'm not the one who makes the rules. "

Takana crosses his arms and huffs, "well, then talk. Inform your boss afterwards and let us know. But just letting things go and carry on as it has been is dangerous for both sides. "

[Namari]

The temps drop perceptively as Arakan starts losing his temper, " They'll listen to you a hell of a lot faster than they will to me. And what im telling you is if things don't change soon, there won't be a damned thing i can do to keep humans from paying the price. There will be another war."

[MissyLooni]

Curtis feels the temperature drop, and having worked with arakan before he understands what that means, "don't start getting all twisted in a huff here,  did I say I wasn't going to talk to you yet? No, I just told you not to expect miracles out of me! There are a lot of people between me and the boss so while I'll try my best I don't want to make any promises if I can't keep them. "

Arakan growls, " i never asked you to make promises. i asked you to sit down and speak with me, and all im hearing is excuses."
