Arakan looks at him, " is it not enough that you may be saving lives of people who are simply doing their best to survive? i will not tell anyone you actually have some compassion." his voice is dry.

Takana sighs, "let's go arakan. Before the next guard shows up and gives all of us a hard time." He turns to leave, "thanks Curt. Remind me to suck your dick later as thanks."

Curtis turns bright red before glaring at takana, "oh quit being a lil shit." He goes to the station to make it look like he had been working there all day

Arakan snorts and heasd back to Takana's apartment, texting people and telling them to arrange for people to come to his place in groups throughout the day the day before the inspection to get their collars checked. and not to ask questions how.

Takana gets back into the apartment and sets the bear down before turning it over to stare at the incision, "do we have anything to... gently cut the thread... off....?"

Arakan raises an eyebrow, " it has sentimental value? i will be careful." he takes the bear and two sharp shards of ice form on his fingers. he carefully uses them to snip only the threads, using his other hand to pluck the thread free as often as he can. it was a crappy job, and hasty, so it didn;t take much. He hands it back and the ice vanishes. " there."

Takana sighs softly in relief and smiles at arakan, "thank you." He gently pulls the scanner out from the fluff, being sure to remove any stuck fluff from the device and put it back into the bear. He hands the scanner to arakan before gently feeling the bear, frowning as he finds that it is limp. A lot of fluff must have been removed in order to fit the scanner and now without it the bear was too empty.
Takana's ears drooped and he makes a dissatisfied tsk under his breath,  "you wouldn't happen to know... if it's possible to get stuffing fiber or anything like that here, would you? "

Arakan hums, " might be able to convince one of the Fauns to give up some wool. they usually shear themselves and weave the wool, but seeing the circumstances i think they'd give some up."

Takana nods, "I hope they don't mind... I wouldn't mind having Jack back to normal."

Arakan nods, " i'll see to it. sorry that your uh, bear got ruined."

takana shrugs, "i probably shouldnt be so attached to it... it was just a prize at one of those overly priced carnival games, but he was so determined to win it for me. I told him I could just go out and buy myself a bear but he said some cheesy shit about how money wasnt everything and how he wanted to earn it. honestly that was the first time someone said that to me and when he did actually win and get me the bear i realized that I was so excited to have it I decided to try my best to earn what i wanted instead of just buying shit. so...yeah. its stupid i know..."

Arakan waves his hand, " i said nothing of the sort. things have sentimental value, we don't see many toys around here, but i understand."

Takana sighs and slumps his shoulders a little, "it certainly feels stupid. I am a grown ass man after all and im clinging to a stuffed animal."

Arakan shrugs, " im not judging, and you me and curtis are the only ones who know. and it can remain that way."

takana nods before giving arakan a soft, sweet smile, "I would appreciate that a lot. thank you."

Arakan blinks and feels his cheeks start to heat up, sending some cold to them and keeping them from reddening. what the hell was that reaction anyway? " well it's nobodies business but your own anyway, so telling people would be wrong. uh, anyway, i maybe should get us something for breakfast since you had to ditch it midway."
