Arakan shakes his head, " copper is one of the easier metals to get, otherwise he probably would have been sniffing around it. Gold is nearly unheard of as part of their diet these days, and it was always much sought after. your laptop will be fine, he just needs some metals to curb the hunger awakened by smelling the gold. he can change into his other shape, which is bird-like, and fly over the wall where humans dump things. it's not something i encourage, but they need to get metals somehow. he'll only be out there long enough to tear apart some machines and eat some metal and minerals before he comes back." He sets one of the containers in front of Takana. " we should get Izanagi up so he can eat as well." he stats eating his own portion.

Takana perks, looking slightly relieved that his laptop is safe, "oh good. and yeah i can go wake him." he gets up and goes to izanagi's room, gently shaking him, "hey sleeping princess. time to get up."

Izanagi grumbles but gets up, yawning as he comes out. " mmm doesn;t smell as good as usual."

takana sighs, "apologies. something came up and i couldnt make breakfast. but arakan had something delivered so there is that at least."

Izanagi makes some random dismissive noises and digs in, seeming not overly worried about it.

takana goes back to his spot and curiously investigates the food briefly before trying it out

the pancakes are made from a rice flour, and are somewhat dense thanks to it. it's also not perfectly ground flour, but not awful overall.

Arakan and Izanagi both eat without comment, working through their meal until it's gone.

Takana eats the food, glancing at izanagi every now and then. He wondered if they should tell him now about the surprise inspection. Would it be better now or later?

Izanagi takes his own tray and arakan's once it's empty and throws them away. " thanks for the meal."

Arakan nods, " yeah. no problem." Izanagi was kind of a loose gun, it was probably best to wait to tell him about the inspection. otherwise he'd act nervous and possibly give it away. " Takana, have you heard back from Isabelle?"

Takana looks at arakan, "oh, yeah. With everyone so focused on the family thing going on she was told that as long as she doesn't go missing either that they didn't have time to care about what she did. So she has the green light currently."

Arakan nods, " well, then i guess we ought to plan when she can visit. probably in about a week, to give us and her time to prepare. tell her not to wear any real jewelry. i know Indigo would never do something so foolish, but no sense in tormenting the poor man."

Takana nods, "She only wears her wedding ring, anything else makes her feel over the top. its bad enough the amount of attention thats on her for her looks, the last thing she wants is to bedazzle a target. her words."

Arakan nods, " just saying, might want to explain the situation to her. if the ring is gold, another ring to stand in it's place might be a good idea. i'll see if i can;t allocate some extra metals to him before she comes, but it's hard to get ahold of them."

Takana hums, "silver I think? With diamonds? I don't know I'm not really a ring guy."

Arakan nods, " diamonds are less tempting surprisingly, they're a fairly common mineral. the silver will be tempting, but not as bad as gold."
