Topic: To Cross That Line (Namari x Missylooni)

[Namari]

Kaiten sees Takana and nods, going to the couch and sitting.

Arakan sighs, " well, i'd better get moving. Keep them safe."

" yes sir."

Arakan glances at Takana, " text me if you need anything."

[MissyLooni]

Takana looks at arakan and his ears twitch before he nods, "okay. "

[Namari]

He heads out, leaving them alone.

Kaiten looks around the apartment boredly.

Takana glances at kaiten and frowns before going to the kitchen and begins cleaning up breakfast

Kaiten glances over and sees the frown, " is there a problem?"

[MissyLooni]

Takana keeps cleaning,  not looking at kaiten,  "no. "

[Namari]

The chimera crosses his arms, " im not certain what beef you have with me, im only doing what i've been asked."

[MissyLooni]

Takana sighs softly and pauses washing the dishes, "but I don't have a problem with you. I just don't see a reason for us to communicate since you're only here to do a job. I literally looked at you, and then went to clean up. You're the one who asked if there was a problem and I told you no." He turns and looks at Kaiten, "so, let me ask, what exactly do you think I've done?"

[Namari]

Kaiten sighs, " if you insist. you simply seem displeased with my presence."

[MissyLooni]

Takana sighs, "im upset that arakan is dealing with so much at the moment. im upset that one of the many things thats on his plate is making my ass is covered by a babysitter. It feels like ever since i got here that he has had to deal with more shit than anyone should and despite my arguments with him he insists that i stay here." his ears droop and he huffs softly, "Im so utterly useless here."

Kaiten raises an eyebrow slowly through this speech, " and where exactly do you think you will go, and to do what? back to the human realm? The trouble that has arisen since you arrived was festering long before you came, you simply exposed it before it burst and became a putrid wound beyond saving. With power comes responsibility, he would have to deal with this infection whether you were here or not, you simply gave him the tools to lance it and try to heal our community, instead of it becoming so enraged and deadly that the humans would be forced to destroy us to ensure their own survival."

[MissyLooni]

Takana huffs, "I had my own place, unlimited income, and free college education. I went out with friends and enjoyed some activities. And I didn't help arakan with anything. I just did what was right. What anyone else should do. I'm just so irritated at everything."

[Namari]

Kaiten sighs, " you were lucky and sheltered. what is right or wrong is often a matter of opinion, and convenience. after all, to give us more, means less for them. letting us rot away here takes very little effort. standing up and doing something takes a great deal of effort. for the first time i see some hope, and that was your doing."

[MissyLooni]

Takana blinks, his face turning a little pink before he quickly turns away and goes back to doing the dishes,  "we're just lucky that growing up in the human district gave me friends that are useful,  that's all."  Damn it all, why was he so easily won over by compliments?
"A-anyway we still have time before work, are you thirsty at all? I have coffee I made or I can get you some water."

Kaiten fights the urge to smirk, there, that got the little d rank to stop being annoyed at him. which would make his job easier. He did not speak falsely, but he was glad he praised the other. " coffee would be nice."
