Takana nods and smiles, "good!" He grabs the large pot he bought when he first came here and, well, almost everything in the kitchen he bought since nagi isn't a cook.
He gets the stock going and while it's on the stove he starts making the noodles. They'll cook faster if fresh and fresh always tastes better

Izanagi sits at the table, wanting to hover but knowing food got done faster when he wasn't in the way.

Kaiten goes back to his phone, feeling a bit guilty that he's eating on the job but come on, this was the new food everyone in the district was going crazy for.

Takana hums happily as he cooks and after a while he grabs 4 bowls, knowing one will be for arakan when he gets here.
He fills two with broth, lays down a pile of fresh noodles in each bowl along with some soft boiled eggs, the best for ramen, along with other add ins before setting each bowl in front of izanagi and kaiten, giving both boys a fork, "eat up! It's hot so don't burn your tongue "

Izanagi takes a bite and pants with his mouth open, burning his tongue instantly.

Kaiten shakes his head, blowing on his.

Takana shakes his head and frowns at izanagi, "really? After I JUST said it was hot."

[Namari]

Izanagi slurps some of the noodles in and sighs, " worth it~!"

After a while longer a knock is heard and the door opens, revealing a tired looking Arakan.

Takana goes to the door, frowning when he sees arakan's state, "you look tired... um are you hungry? I made a big batch of ramen so please join us."

[Namari]

Arakan blinks, " ah, yeah it's been a long day." he wasn't going to mention the lack of sleep, since it was well worth it. " if you're offering, i'll gladly partake. i ended up skipping lunch." he sits.

Kaiten nods respectfully to him and continues eating.

Izanagi is eating as quickly as he can without completely destroying his mouth.

Takana nods and smiles, "good. I waited in case you were hungry."
He goes to the kitchen and gets another bowl ready, grabbing the red pepper flakes for extra spice and setting them on the table, "eat up. "

[Namari]

" thank you." Arakan takes the flakes and generously adds them to his bowl, digging in.

Takana gets his own bowl and sits down at the last spot at the table and finally starts eating, enjoying the rich broth

Kaiten finishes his off shortly and nods to Takana, " appreciated." before he stands and bows to Arakan, heading for the door.

Izanagi drinks the last of his broth with a contented sigh and leans back in his chair. " so good..."

Takana looks at Kaiten mid slurp and waves goodbye before he finishes his bowl. With Kaiten gone takana scoots his chair a smidge closer to Arakan.


~~District 7~~
Bakemono changes back from a familiar thin girl with orange hair back to their dark skinned male form in front of Koshi, “My lord. I have returned from the 4th district with news on the pink one.”
Koshi perks up in his seat and hums in delight, “oh? Please tell me something good. I have been bored all day and some good news would be great. What is his rank? He must be something special to get one on one attention from the worlds coldest dick.”
Bake frowns and shakes their head, “No my lord. The pink one is just an every day E rank. A rock would be more fitting as your future partner than the pink one.”
“what? Are you sure? What about his time with arakan?”
“He was given a collar and made to work but other than that arakan has spent no time with him. At this moment arakan has spent more time dealing with the aftermath of you sending men to his place.”
Koshi leans back in his seat and scoffs, “brilliant…. What a shame. Anything else to report?”
Bake shakes his head, “No my lord. All is quiet.”
Koshi sighs and waves his hand dismissively, “Fine, be off with you.”

Bakemono nods and bows before quickly turning and heading out of the room, walking down the cold and empty hallway. He wanted to get as far away from koshi as possible, however he is only able to make it 7 or 8 rooms away before he turns the corner and bumps into shiro, “Oh- oh… its just you. Out of my way scu-“

“Why did you lie to Koshi?” Shiro’s voice is stern, not out of angry but out of the need to show dominance. Truthfully Shiro is thankful for the lie as it may give arakan’s district a break but if there is info that Bake knows that he isn’t telling then Shiro must know.

“Lie? Why would I lie to my lord?”

“I don’t know why you would lie to him. that’s why im asking. I saw your pictures you took. Takana and arakan have a very deep relat-“

Bake snarls and grabs Shiro’s throat, “YOU DARE TO GO THROUGH MY THINGS!? You shouldn’t even BE alive and yet you come to ME with a death wish?!”

Shiro doesn’t break eye contact, although he is in pain, he will have a bruise, “And what do you plan to do? You know my mother’s rule. If I am to die it must be by my brother’s hands and if you tell him to kill me he will want to know why. My parents will demand the truth. I wont tell anyone if you tell me what you know.”

Bakemono snarls and after a few minutes of considering his options he huffs and releases Shiro, “The pink one is actually the son of the kuroshiba corporation which should make him human however… the ceo is my uncle so… the pink- Takana is technically my cousin and I would rather Koshi not fuck with my family.”

It takes shiro a moment to fully comprehend just what bakemono is saying, his eyes slowly widening, “there’s…. You… that can happen? A half human half demon? How?”

Bake sighs and leans against the wall, crossing his arms, “Well it probably has everything to do with the fact that he is technically a shapeshifter. A changeling to be precise but his father also being a type of shapeshifter helps ensure the human mother didn’t have to deal with any birthing difficulties.”

Shiro nods hesitantly, “okay… a lot of information here….”

“Yeah so keep your mouth fucking shut. Especially when you go back to give your little reports to arakan. No one knows except for me and my uncle so you cant tell ANYONE.”

Shiro looks down, “You knew?”

“of COURSE I knew. So if you even think of telling anyone what I know I will be sure to tell everyone how you’re betraying your own family by giving the enemy secrets.”

Shiro looks up at Bakemono and nods, “Deal.” He was curious why bake didn’t rat him out immediately but that could be a question for another day.

Both demons separate, heading in opposite directions as they go about their day.

[Namari]

Utterly unaware what was happening in the other district Arakan suppresses smiles as he notes the other scooting closer. " go to your room Izanagi."

Izanagi blinks, then grins and gets up, " yes sir~" and scurries off.

Arakan waits until he hears the door before putting an arm around Takana, " how are you feeling?"

Takana leans against arakan and smiles, "I'm feeling just fine, thank you. I appreciate how well I was taken care of."
