Mikitsa the harpy shrugs, " well we'll appreciate whatever you bring us, and the kids will too im sure. let us know if there's anything we can do in exchange, i dislike being is someone's debt."

Arakan watches Takana carefully, " you all set here?"

Takana nods to the harpy, "I make no promises on getting a schedule down on making food since it will always depend on time and what I can get but I do want to give you guys a break every once in a while and just have something ready to eat. If I think of anything I won't hesitate to ask for assistance with something."

He looks at arakan, "Yeah, I'm good. I should get back so I can get ready for work. Thank you for helping me with the delivery."

[Namari]

Mikitsa nods, " if we can do something to repay you, we will."

Arakan nods, " lets get going then."

the kid who had run into Arakan peeks out and waves at them, " byeee!"

Takana had turned to leave however when he hears the kid he looks back and gives a little wave, "goodbye kiddo."

Arakan chuckles softly and heads out of the building, sighing softly, " alright, make a mental note to visit more often because Kainani is stubborn."

[MissyLooni]

Takana looks up at arakan, "they're sick right? What's wrong with them? Why do they need cold water?"

[Namari]

Arakan looks at him, " oh, they're really not made to be here. They're sealings, a subtype of demon that normally live in deep ocean areas. they've mostly managed to stay out of this whole district thing simply because it's nearly impossible to access them or catch them. they stayed pretty much to themselves even before the war. in specific she and her kid are sirens, though there are more types, just like there's lots of land and air based demons up here. anyway they're not made to breath air so much, or for more than short periods of time, and they're used to extremely frigid waters and pressure. so being forced to stay up here on land is hard on them, giving them a freezing cold pool to mimic at least the water temps they're used to is about all i can do. i've added as much salt as i can get my hands on to it, but enough to make it more than just a light brine has been hard to get." he sighs softly.

[MissyLooni]

Takana frowns, "salt? Oh... I see.... I'm sorry to hear that. I wish there is something I could do for her."

[Namari]

Arakan sighs, " not much we can do since she got caught. best thing would be if she and her son could go home, but she and her husband came to the surface a few years ago when she was pregnant, and they encountered some humans and were caught. he was killed, she was sent here. the boy has never even been in the ocean where he belongs. hopefully as things improve i'll be able to get ahold of more salt that i can use in the pool, thankfully it's not like it evaporates or anything so adding more isn't an issue once we get enough. that'll help somewhat, though it's a bandaid on the bigger problem that they're simply not supposed to be here."

Takana rubs his arm and nods, "hopefully what i have been doing will do more good than bad... I would like to eventually see this place become a proper place to live."

[Namari]

" i hope so as well. that would be a good outcome. regardless, what was happening before wasn;t going anywhere, at least things are changing. time will tell what those changes will bring."

[MissyLooni]

Takana nods, "right..." He sighs and looks away, "well, at least you guys will be getting better produce. That's always a positive."

Arakan nods, " any change for the better helps."

Takana frowns a little, "that's what I'm trying to do."
He gets back to his apartment and heads inside

" i know, im just saying that any change for the better is good. you're helping. we just need to wait and see from here."
