Corrin nods, "yes. So for now I forgive everyone for lying to me, and when I get the truth out of takana I will make corrective actions to ensure it doesn't happen again."

Kahana hesitates, " is that really necessary sweetheart? you have both of your sones home safe and sound. Does Yori know he's home? im sure he'll be thrilled to see his other big brother. Oh, speaking of which, i saw him head into the dining room. come have dinner with us? Takana im sure could be allowed out for the meal, after all if he misbehaves you can send him to his room again."

"I'll bring him dinner after we eat. If he wants to play pretend with the demons then I'll treat him like one. "
He sets his book down,  "and yori finding out now will only distract him from dinner. I'll be sure to inform him later. "

" if you think that's for the best darling." she heads to the dining room, sitting down at the table.

Yori looks over, " oh you're back mom?"

" of course sweetheart, your father and i wouldn't fight for long. sometimes we just need some space from each other."

Corrin gets to the table and sits down,  "did you have a good day yori? "

Yori shrugs, " it was okay, spent some time with isaelle, she's doing better but is still kinda not feeling well. then i hung out with some guys from school. they're okay, i think they just let me hang around them because i can buy them stuff though..."

Kahana frowns, " oh sweetie, im sorry. it can be difficult to find true people you can rely on when you have money tempting them."

Corrin hums softly, "don't buy them stuff then. That'll test to see if they are your friends or not. "

Yori sighs, " but nobody hangs out with me if i don't."

"See? Then they're not your friends and it's time to get new ones. " He happily eats,  seeing no flaws in his logic

Yori sighs and pokes at his food, " easier said than done..."

"Nonesense! Instead of using money to make friends you use fear! I do it all the time. I'll get you some friends if it's that hard for you."

Yoris eyes widen, " I don't want people to be scared of me! And they wouldn't be my friends either, they'd be ...I dunno, pawns? I don't want that."

Corrin shrugs, "everyone is someone else's pawn in life. Just look at those nasty demons. Their whole barbaric ranking system makes everyone a pawn."

Yori looks down, " I don't think they're so bad...and I don't want friends that way."
