Yori looks, " nice!" He quickly works on getting it set up, getting the controllers synced and handing one to Nikiri before getting the game going.

Nikiri curiously watches yori set it up, even getting more confused when he's handed a remote, "what's this?"

Yori blinks, " to play the game obviously. that'll control your character. here, lets pick this... and now we can pick our character. im gonna pick Link. so pick the avatar character you want, and then we can customize our vehicle to have better or worse properties in certain areas. acceleration is how fast you speed up, handling is how well the vehicle responds to turns and things, and speed is the maximum speed you can go. a balance is good, because if you're too fast with no handling you'll spin out of control, but if you have just handling but no speed, you'll be behind everyone and lose."

Nikiri blinks as he listens, "fascinating!" He curiously pushes the joystick and perks up when he sees a different character pop up, "oh! I'm controlling something. Um..."
He picks Isabelle, "oh a little doggie! How cute! I'll play her!"

Yori chuckles, and guides him on what parts for the vehicle he should pick before starting the game. " so the goal is to be the first across the finish line. if you get those question boxes, you get an item which can help you or sabotage your opponents."

Nikiri nods, "understood!" He sits on the couch and starts playing with yori

Yori gives him tips as they play, trying to make it more fair, laughing as they play.

He nods and continues playing, enjoying something he's never seen before.

After a few hours the front door opens and Robin enters the house with the little girls, "alright now all of you go to your room and change into some warmer clothes while I get tea going." She shuts the door and shivers, "we're home!"

Yori looks up and smiles, " oh they're home. lets finish this real quick." he beats Nikiri easily and sets the controller aside, " welcome back!"

Nikiri's eyes widen when he's defeated easily and he's a little dumbfounded before hesitantly setting his controller down

Robin hears yori and grumbles softly. She heads to the kitchen.

Phea and Seraphi head to their rooms to warm up.

Elyza runs to where she hears yori, stopping when she sees him, "oh! Boy!"

Yori snorts, " yeah, boy. i got you a surprise Elyza, were you a good girl so i can give it to you?"

Elyza nods, looking determined, "yes! I was the best! Gift! Giftgiftgift!"

Yori laughs softly, " and are you gonna be a good girl for the rest of the winter too? only good girls can keep this gift." he grabs the bag that the box is in.

She nods and runs up to yori, grabbing his pants, "please please please! Elyza never got gift before!"

Yori blinks, feeling his chest ache and hands her the bag, " well here you go, your first gift. open it up."
