Indigo blushes, " I...do enjoy her company. But I would never make a move on a woman who did not want my advances, and she has stated she is loyal to her husband... As for you flirting, I believe that's why I was assigned to you. I have no interest in men."

Davie snorts softly, "she's probably loyal because anything less is humiliating to the company. At any rate it's a shame you're not interested. You're extremely attractive."

[Namari]

" I'll thank you not to insult her please. From what she's told me, she truly loves the man she married. I appreciate the compliment, but I see why I was assigned to you. We need your focus on work, there will be opportunities to meet a potential romantic partner if things go well."

Davie waves his hand dismissively, "less insulting her and more insulting the company. Right. Job. You have my attention in regards to work."

Luna gently drops from a nearby roof in front of a tiny home that is oddly decorated with trinkets and broken knick knacks. She gently knocks on the door.

A woman in 40's opens the door, green hair and green eyes, large boobs and plenty more decorative items in her hair, "ahhh~♡ hello little deer. What brings you to the hikigaeru shrine?"

Luna keeps her eyes only on the woman's face, "are you able to create a mirror that shows all?"

The woman blinks, "oh? A Revelation Mirror? My goodness no one has asked that of me before."

Lunas face falls, "so you dont..."

The woman hums, "didn't say that. My mother taught me but it was her and my grandmother who created most of them during the war. They were the best items to tell if we had a traitorous shapeshifter in our army."

"During the war? Do you know if there are any out there?"

"No... when we lost the war they were all taken. The jewels were ripped out and the glass was smashed..." She leans against the doorway, "if you're asking about the mirror because you need one I can technically make it if I had the materials."

Luna nods, "my brother requested it to help with arakan dealing with some... difficult demons coming to our district."

Ms. Hikigaeru nods softly, "shapeshifters are a hell of a parasite. Tell you what, if you can get me the items I need then I'll see what I can do about getting one made. It's been decades so I'm a little rusty but if it's to help our leader then I'll do my best." She steps inside for a brief moment to grab a pen and notepad and starts writing some things on it, "your best bet is to find indigo for some of these since they're jewels. If he can't get them for you then I'm sure he knows a little sapphire who can." She rips the sheet of paper off and hands it to Luna, "good luck little deer."

Luna takes the list, gives the woman a little bow of thanks before leaving.

Indigo looks at him for a long moment, " very well. i can't say im terribly fond of that company either. anyway, yes, we have a job to do. i know you're used to being kind of demons but if an issue comes up with a demon child, i need you to let me handle it. you handle humans, i handle demons. at least to start. it's going to take time to build trust. Arakan has said if the first several days go well, then guards like you may take turns taking lunch breaks and walking around the permitted area as well."

[MissyLooni]

Davie blinks and frowns, "wait seriously? I cant-" He stops himself and shakes his head,  "ah no you're right. Sorry i... I am used to being able to help the kids at my old district but... that's because they knew me since I was a kid. This is a new district... I'll keep that in mind... continue. "

[Namari]

Indigo nods, " it's good to see you want to help, but things are different here. Humans are feared by children, and if you did try to help one you'd not only terrify them, but you'd likely have a freaked out parent getting protective. Maybe things will change, but this is the safest way right now. Top priority is to make sure nobody gets hurt."

[MissyLooni]

Davie nods and gives a weak chuckle, "compared to district 1 its a LOT different. Won't lie, the fact that I can't just pick up a kid and play airplane with them makes me homesick for my district." He sighs softly, "but... yeah... safety is important."

[Namari]

Indigo looks at him sadly, " I hope eventually the work we put in here will change things so that children no longer fear humans. You are doing important work, and I thank you for being here."

[MissyLooni]

davie nods, "id like them to not fear humans as well. dont get me wrong, I dont trust humans at all so i cant say much but at least i dont fear them."

[Namari]

Indigo nods, " well, i appreciate the work you'll do for us. i would like for my sister to be able to grow up without fear. though it may be too late for her trauma, at least perhaps the next generation can live without that fear."

[MissyLooni]

davie nods, "thats all i can really help with it seems. just make things better for the next generation."

Luna jumps up onto a utility pole and looks around the streets, grumbling when she doesnt see any shiny bird. she huffs and closes her eyes, 'has anyone seen Indigo?'

Summer chimes in 'Nope!'

Then Katie 'I've been in distrct 5 all day'

Rins voice pops in 'I've been home with mother'

Rita 'He's not at the cafe!'

Kacie 'sorry love, im in district 1 for a meeting'

suddenly a tiny voice pops in, 'i want chocolate...'

Luna's eyes widen and her connect stops briefly. did she just.... hear elyza? Not even the twins are able to tap into the connection yet, 'Elyza??'

elyza's voice comes in again. 'hewwwo!! echo!!'

suddeny all of the other siblings are suddenly spazzing in the connection and luna has to end the connection quickly or else she'd get a headache

Indigo nods," I'll tell you what, you focus on work while we're working , and I'll think about anyone I know that might be interested. I'd introduce you to izanagi but if what you're wearing is anything to go by, you're also a receiver, not a giver."

Arakan steps forward, " alright, I told Curtis I'd keep this relatively short, you all did well. Be ready to report for inner district guard duty. Dismissed."

Indigo glances at Arakan before looking back at Davie, " see you in a few days." he heads out of the building with the others.

Davie stares at indigo, blinking in utter confusion until a light bulb goes off in his head and he turns bright red, "oh shit you can smell that?! Oh fuck- oh shit! I didn't realize stainless steel was a- fuck!" He panics and takes a step back, now completely embarrassed.

Luna feels a small tug in the connection and sighs softly, letting it gently open up to whoever was trying to get her attention, 'yes?'

Nikiri's voice comes through, although it's soft, 'hey you okay? I know all of the noise can get to you.'

'yeah, I'm fine. So elyza officially is the youngest okuya to be able to tap into the connection successfully huh.'

'she sure is. Strongest connection we ever had. Thats good. Not even the twins can make a connection yet. You were asking about indigo earlier, correct?'

'yeah for that little side quest you sent me on'

'i see. He may actually be with arakan at the shopping center but i dont know for how long. Go ahead and get over there, I'll text arakan and see if he is still with indigo and if so to hold him there until you arrive. Its important so i know he wont be in too much of a mood.'

'understood. Also dont forget. It was my initial connection which means its finally my turn to tell arakan the news.

'HA! alright alright I'll keep my mouth shut on that.

Luna ends the connection and opens her eyes. She looks around on the tall post before jumping off and heading to the shopping center.

Nikiri pulls out his phone and quickly texts arakan, 'hey luna is heading to the shopping center for indigo if hes still there. She needs to speak with him in order to get that mirror so if hes still with you id appreciate it if you could keep him there a bit longer. Not sure how long you planned for that guard thing to happen'

[Namari]

Indigo chuckles, " yeah i can smell it. im not going to tell anyone though, it's not my business." he pats Davie on the shoulder.

Arakan reads the text and walks over to Indigo, " hey, Luna needs to speak with you so stay here until she arrives." he notices Davie bright red and raises an eyebrow before shaking his head, " nevermind, don't want to know." he steps away to talk with another demon.

Indigo blinks, " Luna huh? one of the Okuyas. wonder what she needs me for. Anyway, while it's uncommon, you'd be surprised what people wear when people can't see it. more common than you'd think."
