Thor was engrossed with the book, particularly how the mind had worked how the dots connected and how the brain had developed a protection barrier, the way that it responded to memories. Trauma was deeply seeded and the annoying thing was there wasn't a set of instructions that could deal with such matters. He wondered if it was a long time thing or if things. Self healing advocated meditation, walking, talking to loved ones. Some people preferred to be touched, tactile sensation, some want to be left alone which seemed to fit Loki the most. God it was confusing. Text-book work wasn't exactly his forte either.

He just assumed that people just 'got' over it which wasn't really the best approach. He couldn't fathom what Thannos did to him.  Mentally twisted on his fears and his own grudges using it against him to his better nature.  Loki wasn't a bad guy that people made him out to be. He in truth could've been a really good Avenger if it wasn't for being the 'God of mischief.'  It was misfortunate and fortune that Loki had.  He seemed to keep things very close to his chest unlike Thor who happily shared or didn't have the skill set to hide it.

It was then he heard a voice that twigged his attention and he saw Pepper glancing at him with concern. To tell the truth he hadn't figured out how long he had been down here. He tried to hold back the fact that he was startled.

"Ah Pepper sorry I was in the zone of it it seems." Thor glanced at her confused to why she was asking him dumbfounded in-fact but Thor realised she must of seen the books he's was personally reading. "Ah yes sorry I was here since 2am couldn't sleep and begun reading. To be honest I don't even know how I ended up here." Thor grinned sheepishly. Hopefully Pepper wouldn't ask too many questions.

"It's not for me it's for a friend. " Thor reassured her. "I'm not exactly built for these types of things I thought reading will help me understand it. So far I've been bad at it." Thor scratched the back of his head he didn't want to 'drop 'the friend being Loki. 

"I was trying to find Banner's office but ended up here in stead." The logical thing was to ask Tony or Banner, but in fairness he wasn't exactly tactful. It was a sensitive topic for obvious reasons.  He didn't know how to help Loki. "I thought coming here would provide answers.."

Looking over the pile of books, self help and phycology books weren't exactly easy reads that someone activity bound like Thor would gravitate to. There had to be an important reason as to why he was on this topic. 'A friend.' Now, in being part of the Avengers, that could really be any one of them. It could be Tony, it could be Loki. Obviously Thor didn't want to break confidences and Pepper didn't really need to know exactly who he was talking about. She had a lot of experience handling Tony and dealing with the aftermath of what'd happened in Afghanistan as well as during the Battle of New York.

As he went on though, "Is it safe to assume that since you were seeking them out that it's not about Tony or Bruce?" Pepper deduced kindly as she took a nearby seat, not indicating that she actually needed to know who it was, though she had the idea. "People tend to handle trauma differently. Some can keep it bottled up and refuse to talk about it, while others actively seek out help. It affects them though, whether they want to admit it or not." Tony had made a large number of suits in response, one in which responded to his brain waves and nearly attacked her during his nightmare.

"Sometimes it's hard to say what happened. Tony built this machine that lets you go into memories, ridiculous name, but it helped him with some past trauma. Maybe it could help 'your friend'. If not come to terms with it, then have a way to share it without having to say a word." Though whether or not Loki would agree was something she couldn't say. She didn't know the God at all. However, if there was anyone he would agree to it for, it was likely Thor.

"I wouldn't push too hard though. Sometimes all people want is silent support and to know there's someone there that cares." Her words unknowingly were similar to the advice Jarvis had given him before.

Thor tilted his head he didn't know much about Tony's past but it wasn't difficult to see how much trauma that Tony had faced. The man was difficult to read and hid a lot in sarcasm. "That was my conclusion this morning." He gave a defeated sigh. He shook his head to Pepper's question she seemed loyal to Tony and seemed to understand a lot more he can understand why Tony liked her. She was strong and in her own ways she knew how to deal things most people wouldn't, heck she deals with a bunch of hero's with unique trauma experiences of their own especially with dealing with the unnatural.

"I'm not good at comforting others, I'm more for brawn and muscle rather than dealing with delicate matters I'm not made of delicate. " Thor gave a cheeky smile to break the tension he was given off. " I... don't know exactly what my friend wants. My instincts tell me to back off since he's already being dealing with it on his own but my heart wants to help and to comfort but I fear as he's stated already that it be-littles him and his pride. But I don't want to ignore it." Thor frowned as he raked a hand through his hair and shut the book he was currently reading and placed  it on the table next to the others.

"My talents is removing the threat unfortunately the said threat is ridiculously strong and boils my blood for revenge for what he did to my friend. But he doesn't want me to end my life by doing so. " Speaking of Thannos. But he was pretty sure that Pepper was smart. "I'm not good at this type of thing and it breaks my heart so I figured if I learned about Trauma " He yawned a little." Then hopefully it would make sense to me to work out what the initial thing to do was. But as you stated already everyone handles trauma differently."

He pouted annoyed at himself for wasting time with reading. He stood up and stretched where his position was. "I can't pretend it isn't there either. I don't want to seem heartless. But speaking doesn't help either since we all know I'm not great at talking or negotiating. Getting hopes of people around me up is what I'm best at or public speeches, but nothing intimate as this." Thor didn't know why he was opening up to Pepper.

Men. Pepper gave a small smile, standing up as well and smoothing her pristine skirt down before saying, "My advice to you, Thor, is to be his silent comfort when he needs it, and give him his space when indicated. I don't know Loki, but he certainly seems the type to tell you what he wants when he wants it, but maybe not necessarily what he needs. In that regards he's like Tony. He may be able to help you with that." Sometimes you'd rather just talk to someone who understood. No offense to Thor.

She smiled at him and checked her watch again, "I do hate to run off, but I have a meeting I have to get to. Have a nice day, Thor. Though you may want to get dressed at some point." She gently teased him before briskly heading out of the library. Sometimes the Avengers could be more than a handful, but they were all nice people deep down. That didn't mean they didn't often give her headaches with the things they got up to.

Thor nodded his thanks he didn't even realise he was still dressed undignified he was obsessed with the idea of helping Loki indirectly speaking. Watching Pepper go he was grateful for his chat. He didn't know and wasn't the best person to work things out but it was a weakness he'd have to over come thinking things over he put the books back and made his way back to up the floor. In a few moments he was in the God's floor and decided to have a shower to freshen himself up with he was curious to when the second Suiter would come.

He didn't smell Loki around he assumed he was still in the training area. Thor had changed into his usual attire. A dark green shirt, with a thick black hoody with a leather jacket if he needed and normal jeans. He didn't bother to show up at the training he was going to but he figured Loki needed his space to work things out.

Thor remained quite close to the building even if he did fancy a light walk just to stretch his legs but he chose to relax instead. The shower had freshened him up. He felt a bit weird after Loki's waken up aftermath he didn't know how to approach it but he knew that Loki was suffering mentally and emotionally. 

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Natasha had been working with Loki, when it comes to close combat skills her skills were next to none, she was completely at home doing this with Loki. She demonstrated her talents as  being out ng  outmanoeuvring majority of who faced her divide and conquer.  Although to his credit Loki could clearly handle himself and the rare occasions where they had seen him fort when trying to capture him or stop him from taking over the world.

Loki had different strengths and could handle knives.  Not to mention his nasty ability to see through the illusions was a nasty thing she needed to avoid. "I thought I was competing against a god here." Natasha smirked.

Thor emerged from the door of the training seeing Loki and Natasha training. It was amazing that she could keep up with Loki the way the speed was. It reminded him when he and Loki used to spar.  Taking up a space against the wall with his arms folded across his chest observing the fight between the two.

Natasha managed to use her legs to try and get Loki to go on the floor. "Not to bad for a beginner newb." Natasha smirked considering she was really enjoying this fight.

There had been light sparring all morning. First it'd an assessment and to get him back into things, as it'd been a few years, but one tended not to forget these things after hundreds of years of combat. That's where the difference lay. Natasha was very skilled and sure of herself, but he had a lot more experience. Still, it was a compliment that there were things to be learned from the previous assassin. Neither were using weapons and so it was all hand to hand. So far Loki hadn't cheated either, which was saying something.

"Is that how you want it?" Loki asked, ducking to avoid a hit and then nimbly landing his hand on the mat after Natasha's leg to raise his body over it and avoid the swipe. A wicked smirk crossed his features. "Very well then." He continued to spar her, avoiding her hits and leading her on a bit of a wild goose chase around the ring, striking out from time to time, in hits in which Natasha dodged.

Meanwhile Loki leaned against the wall, invisible beside his brother. "Where did you disappear to?" He asked quietly, amused at his trickery. He wondered how long it'd take for Widow to figure out it was an illusion. It was easier to make himself dodge all of her attacks when watching from afar and his doppelgangers were notoriously real.

Thor knew instantly what Natasha was fighting was a double ganger of Lokis. He had an adaptive instinct when it came to his brother or an illusion. But Natasha hadn't figured it out yet when he heard his brothers voice knowing it was the real thing.

"Just educating myself. Was in the library." Thor yawned as he leaned a little closer to Loki. "I'm sorry about this morning. I never know what to do it crazes me to see you like that. I didn't want to offend you." Thor mentioned quietly.

Then Natasha poised almost getting hit but quickly dodged it. It was then that Natasha had seen through Lokis clone. The minute she tried to wrestle with him.

" I think she caught on brother. " Thor smirked a little.

[Tachi]

"You ran off to read?" He sounded mildly incredulous, keeping it down. The only thing Loki could determine that Thor would've run off to read would've probably been something about psychology. In a way it was incredibly annoying, but he knew his clueless brother was only trying to help. Unfortunately it left him wondering if he was going to try some odd technique on him that'd mildly infuriate him. The movement, however minute, nearly caused him to sigh, holding it back and watching Natasha with a sharp eye.

"Now's really not the time to discuss this." Loki left another copy in his place, still invisible beside Thor, and made his way back towards the ring before his brother started whispering to him. "I'm aware." The copy said. "It doesn't help when you lean over and speak to thin air." He could keep track of several versions of himself, each doing different things, though in the end they were just illusions. More magic was required for anything else.

"If you want to wrestle with someone, do it with Thor! With that much contact is easy to place a spell or use a dagger." The clone of Loki said before Loki seamlessly merged back with it. "I once turned Thor into a frog. What would you like to be?" He used the advantage of her thinking he was an illusion to strike out quick and hard, knocking her off her feet and bringing out the knife he'd stolen to hold at her throat. "I didn't even start in on transformation."

The Loki beside Thor became visible, looking to him. "When are you going to recover our personal items? Only Mother can do it. The rest of those imbeciles will destroy my collection and kill themselves in the process. I want at least my daggers. These kitchen knives are ridiculous."

"I didn't technically ran off brother. Relax, I just didn't know what to do to help you. I figured it would teach me a thing or two. But don't worry I didn't learn anything that would be 'considered' helpful."  Thor commented.

"Knock it off Loki." Thor commented as he stepped up seeing that knife. Natasha was caught off guard by the sudden strength. Knocking the wind out of her. "No weapons "She tried to speak as the choke hold was on her. It was below the belt to be used weapons but well, she was competing against the God of mischief it would be out of character if Loki hadn't broke the rules.

Of course people misread Loki all the time thinking he wasn't that strong due to his size but he could hold his own. "Let her go and play fair." Thor's tone wasn't in a commanding one but it was a soft warning.

Bringing himself into the mix.  "I will speak with Heimdall to have the meeting with the boys and see what we come up with. I told you before I will be letting them come here for a catch up and possibly a spar. However I will ask Fandral or Hogun. Perhaps they can bring your personal possessions. Providing you let go of Natasha I will speak with him now and arrange a pick up." Thor suggested.

"When we get your personal knives back why don't we have a spar of our own f or for old time sake? Your knives against my thunder. If you play nicely with Widow, I will even speak to Heimdall right now to put it all in motion." Thor spoken he would intervene if he actually considered causing further harm to Nat. He even began to simply move his body in between as if he was letting his brother know that he would intervene if Loki didn't let go.

[Tachi]

"Get off of her." Clint said, setting down the dumbbell he'd been using while the two had been sparring. Tony slowed down the speed on the treadmill but Loki climbed off of her, holding his hands and the knives up in mock surrender, though he did disappear them soon after.

"Do go all getting bent out of shape on me. I was told to act like a God. It's not my fault you've all forgotten which God I am." If he let his strength and other skills come into play then it wouldn't be much of a sparring match. It was good for the woman to learn her place. Let them realize that he was, in fact, going easy on them, despite what they may think. He left the ring, speaking to Thor, "Was that an attempt to bribe me? What did you think I was going to do? Kill Widow, start a war, and have to deal with the next dunderhead sent down on our own?"

Loki hadn't actually hurt Natasha. It looked good, but no harm had come to her. They were all overreacting. The double next to Thor disappeared as the real Loki approached, almost confronting him. "I am 'playing nice'. No one but you has been stabbed." Considering everything that was pent up inside of him, that was something that should be rewarded. "Just for that though, I'm using the Sapphire ones." They were highly conducive to electricity, acted as lightning rods, and trapped it in their blades to be used back against Thor.

Meanwhile Clint headed over to Nat to make sure she was alright, finding that there wasn't a cut or anything, and that Loki had just knocked her down. "I want to be really mad at him," He said, "but I also heard you taunt him."

Natasha took a breath taunting the God of mischief was probably not the wisest thing to do but she wanted to test out his truth strength and had a feeling he was holding back on her. The true sense of Loki's power of course it was more illusional spells, his quick thinking and of course being strong to take into consideration. He might be more lean than Thor but people would fall for the sense of security that he wasn't that strong. But every contact she felt his strength even if he halved it.

"Relax Clint, not like you to be mellow dramatic it's fine." Natasha noticed that Thor was slightly protecting her which was cute but wasn't necessary. "You don't need to protect me Thor I can handle myself you know."

Thor simply stared at her as in 'really?' "Whether you like it or not Widow, Loki is a God. I might have more patience then he has I'm surprised he didn't do his usual tricks on you other than a double ganger being used. But it isn't wise to taunt him." Thor warned her.

"Considering the only thing you actually did was use a double gang on her that is quite a feet brother considering you can play dirty when you want to. As for the blades of course, I won't back down from a challenge." He gave a slight tired grin.

"I will speak to Heimdall so he's notified. " He looked at Natasha with that concern brotherly look.

"Don't think I not forgotten about our work out Thor." Natasha reminded him as Thor was leaving the training area. "Another time right now I won't be able keep my cool you wouldn't survive 5 minutes in the mood that I'm in now." Thor wouldn't be able to contain himself if he went into battle with Natasha it wasn't running away with all the stresses he was currently under he was far better at being challenged with Loki at least he didn't have to hold back as much it took a great deal of concentration.

" Not like Thor to deny a good work out, you think he really meant that?" She asked Clint or more so Loki.

[Tachi]

Clint opened his mouth and let it hang, "Not mellow dramatic? Do you know me?" He faked hurt. During missions he was a little more serious, and of course after being brainwashed, but he had a sense of humor and loosened up outside of work. He had kids after all and was used to being the 'fun Dad'. Not that anyone but Nat knew that.

Despite what Loki had somewhat agreed to, he'd be putting Thor back to bed first. How were they to fight off their enemies and suitors if he was dead on his feet all the time? He would, however, wait for him to speak with Heimdall though. Norns knew the man wouldn't do anything for him after he'd frozen him. Loki kept his eyes on Thor as Natasha challenged him, almost feeling insulted that after all that sex that Thor was still this tense.

"Might want address what he's been seeing, brother." Loki advised before Thor left, referring to their relationship in Heimdall's eyes. If he hadn't told Odin yet then they'd want to keep it that way. May as well get it all over in one very one sided conversation.

"Oh, he meant it." Loki replied to Widow before Clint could, Tony coming over to join them.

"He's got to learn how to relax." Or more so to relax when he could.

"He used to do nothing but relax." The God mused. Suddenly, after 1500 years, he decided to grow up. The events he'd put in motion had changed his brother. They'd caused damages, put strain between them, and many other things, but they'd also made Thor ready to be king. He may not think it, but he was no longer acting selfish and childish. His soon-to-be mate would rule beside him.

"Hey, those guys he's planning on inviting...They're not anything like..." Tony asked, hinting.

"No." Loki replied, looking at him. "Think more war and drinking buddies. Vikings, you call them."

"Not sure if I'm looking forward to that either." He was skeptical there. More Asgardians running around sounded like more broken things. Sighing, he said, "You hear that, J? Order a lot more beer."

"On it, Sir."

"Be glad they don't eat as much as Thor does, though you may be disgusted by their habits anyway." He nodded at them, heading towards the elevator, though he did cheekily toss back, "I was still going easy on you, Widow!" If he used his true strength he'd likely kill her. Not to mention he could turn into numerous deadly things if he didn't just cheat and use the knives. Right now, he was heading back to his floor for a shower and to wait for Thor.

Without going too far away from Loki he had chosen a safe spot within the compound of Starks tower to meditate and use a vision to talk to him, rather that than shout since he needed specific things, his mind and body was relaxed as he had his eyes shut. His mind and focus was back at the Biofost.

"If you can arrange that will be great, Loki is getting a bit stir crazy. He wants his things back Heimdall I will be grateful. " Thor spoke as they were concluding their conversation. His eyes stared into Heimdall's. The yellow eyes that saw everything and probably they're on going relationship with Loki.

"I know what you must be thinking but please give me time to figure it out, Heimdall I know what I'm doing." Thor saw that look, that all-knowing look. Thor may have let his emotions run over his head, hot-headed, and acted first before he thought but he wouldn't just let Loki in without thinking about it first. He loved Loki for the longest time. It was good to see him again.

"I will see what I can do, but I gotta say it's not wise to trust the God of mischief, he's not the God of mischief for nothing you know."  Yeah...don't remind me. Thor thought he knew his misfortune, his ways of distrusting both sides had done something to harm the relationship but deep down he knew Loki was his mate. "If you can send the boys down tomorrow night we will also talk about the staff that Stark has. That will make the trip worth while." Thor mentioned.

"Great thank you friend." Thor smiled as Heimdall smiled awkwardly at Thor.

"I have to say you're not at your best as of late but I understand the reasons. "  Heimdall spoke with a hint of worry Thor didn't need to say anything only smiled in acknowledgement. Knowing that Heimdall would get things in order. There was no sense in hiding the fact that he was doting on Loki, like a love struck teenager and their bond were blossoming but he knew he could trust Heimdall not to say anything to Odin.   He didn't admit it nor deny it it was a silent conversation between them of understanding.

Thor within moments later, he was within his own body again he opened his eyes and allowed them to adjust.  He knew that Heimdall knew the importance of this and would make the arrangements.

He slowly made his way up to the God's floor where he could catch a breather. When he finally made it up their he went up to the elevator. He could sense his brother was there opening the door to there quarters. He stretched. When his eyes finally landed on Loki.

"I spoke with Heimdall and he's going to arrange things tomorrow that hopefully your things will be delivered. If he confirms tonight that it will happen tomorrow you can tell the boys what you need and arrange it with them they'd handle the rest. Since we can't go ourselves and Heimdall is on to us. Of course But he won't tell I just said we needed a bit more time." Thor shrugged he needed that hole suiter nonsense to deal with.

"About this morning, Brother. I'm sorry." Thor sighed heavily." It just broke my heart to see you like that. I won't do anything you don't want me to do, if you want me to be the silent partner, so be it. You want me to hug you until you stop crying? then I'd be here. I just thought reading something would help me out to understand and to empathise what you're going through. You know how hopeless I am at these things."

"Giving the trickster God back some of his tools is perhaps not the wisest move, but neither is leaving him victim to boredom." Heimdall replied. Both were just as deadly where Loki was concerned. They were not on the best of terms, to put it lightly, but the darker skinned man though he had an idea into the 'why' of Loki's actions, though he'd spoken not of it. The trickster God would thank him not for giving up any of his tricks, even to his own benefit.

His gaze remained on Thor, whom he'd known from long ago had had a special bond with Loki. Now he knew that bond to be one of mates. It was dangerous. Not only because of tumultuous relationship but because Odin would not easily accept it. His warning would not do for much. Things had been set into motion and now they needed only weather the storm, so to speak. Until then, all would be kept silent.

There'd been time for Loki to take a shower and dress in what he found to be comfortable layers. Soft, black pants Jarvis referred to as 'joggers' and a light long sleeved shirt in dark green. He'd dried himself with magic again and had headed back to the kitchen, taking out the leftover pizza and pondering how long it was 'good' for and his version of 'good' was the same as what Stark had programmed Jarvis' to be. He was somewhat suspicious of that.

When Thor walked in, the man immediately started talking. "Tomorrow?" They certainly were allowed no breaks. Would this be good or bad for Thor? Perhaps being surrounded by allies would help alleviate his anxiety. "As I said, I only trust Mother to properly secure my possessions. You hear that, Heimdall? There's spells and curses on my affects. Those dunderheads will only set them off. Mother only." At least he could trust that regardless of the man's feelings towards him that he'd relay that part at least.

Attention turning back on to Thor, he really wished he'd stop bringing it up. "I wasn't crying." He mildly protested, almost to himself. Letting out a huff of air, he was very aware that he was hopeless at these things. Also that he'd likely keep bringing this up if he didn't tell him how to act.  It was a horrid situation to be in. "Just...hold me." His silver tongue failed there at the awkwardness of it. "No platitudes." Norns, he might stab him if he heard a platitude. "Make sure I recognize you first." Or he'd be stabbed with far more intent.

"Now will you stop with this nonsense and eat and get back to bed? I'm tired of you nearly collapsing everywhere. What if a real enemy shows up?" Loki scolded. They couldn't have helped the heat, but everything else.

Thor looked sceptical at Loki. Just hiding him that's all that was required? Not something overly complicated. He had been worried that Loki wasnt healing. "It's been a tough four years brother. I can't remember when I had a proper vacation. I just went straight into it."

It was mewnt to be endearing reading psychological books on Lokis behalf it wasn't meant to be irritating. "Fair play when I get a response I will let mother deal with it. I'm sure she'd be aware and keep most of your stuff of what you need. She won't throw it out and Odin won't get past her. She'd deal with it and so on. They're only transporting it"

It was sweet really that Loki still thought of his mother as their mother. Even though they're weren't by blood. But it was still sweet that Loki still respected her. It was surprising really after all that Odin had done to cast him out.

He was glad really because Thor was protective of her. Even though he loved Odin he still had disagreements and often or not they butt heads since we'll Odin and Thor thought alike but on different realities Thor was more with it then Odin and greatly matured.

"Don't worry about me. If an enemy came I can assure you I won't have any problems dealing with it. I just have a lot on my plate at the moment and being stressed all the time bisnt making things easier to deal with with the threat of the suiters. I'm reasurred that Odin won't start wars with Miguard now so I'm relieved. "  He was planning to rest anyway so he was on the best shape for when the boys came.
