Ike feeds it to him until it's gone, setting it aside. " Tergo's going to make a special batch of skewers just for you Link, all the seasonings you like best. All  to make you a delicious broth so you can get everything you need in a way you like. how does that sound huh?"

Link watches the cup being set aside, staring at it.

((I feel so bad for ike. Like, he's trying so hard but link is just... flat lined man.))

Ike sighs softly, taking the cuckoo and putting it in front of Link, " here ya go, Tergo told me his name was Charlie. you like Charlie huh?"



(yup. he's doing his best.)

Link turns his head to look at charlie and grabs on to the head, his eyes drooping as he yawns.

Kira watches ike and frowns, "kids getting tired. Maybe its best if you finished up your night while the hero hits the hay?"

Ike nods, " yeah, sure." he ruffles Links hair, " goodnight." he gets up and heads out of Links room, going to his own.

Aiden is outside with caleb, watching him hit the target with an arrow, "you know caleb, you're an amazing archer. Hands down the best. You could always... be an archer instead of a swordsman. I dont mind."

Caleb huffs slightly as he grabs another arrow, "but then we wont be beside each other on the field."

Aiden bites his lower lip and frowns, "maybe....thats for the best? You dont.... you arent getting better with the sword. And you might be messing up your vision even more by straining them like you did today."

Caleb pouts and looks at aiden, "i'm trying to get better. You said i could get better if we worked on it together."

Aiden pales and looks down, "i... i thought we could... but its not working. And i dont want to send you on the field if you're not ready."

Ike watches from his window, noting the accuracy of Calebs archery. He heads to Sorens rooms, knocking gently.


Ghirahim paces in his room, he rarely left it except to get food, doing anything else at night when everyone else was asleep. The way they looked at him...disgust, fear, hatred, it hurt. He'd helped, he had been good, and yet...The hero was wrong. Obviously he would not find a better life here. It was so frustrating, they accepted Volga with open arms. and the dragon man even had that sheikah fawning over him, even if he doubted the dragon had been bold enough to seal the deal, it was obvious. He shakes his head and leaves his room, heading for Zeldas room and knocking.

Soren blinks from his table and stands up, "coming." He goes over to the door and opens it, "ike? Whats up?"

Zelda gets up and goes to her door, opening it. She blinks when she sees ghirahim, "ah. Ghirahim. How can i assist you?"

Ike nods to Soren, " had something i wanted to talk to you about. Aidens brother...he seems to be far sighted, has issues with seeing things up close, and seems to be an ace archer, but it seems like he really wants to stay a swordsman from what i can tell. im not sure how to deal with it."


Ghirahim grits his teeth, " please remove the block from my powers."

Soren blinks before frowning, "well unfortunately from the sounds of it he should be an archer. A person who is far sighted should not be a swordsman."

Zelda frowns and takes in ghirahim's demeanor, "i have allowed you to keep your ability to transport freely. Is that not enough?" She wasnt sure where impa or sothe had gone, but she was quickly regretting opening her door.

Ike nods, " that's what i was thinking. How to get that through to him though is the question..." he sighs.


Ghirahim looks away, " within the confines of your barrier. I...I want to go back. All i have done here in stay in my room except to try and get food, otherwise everything else i get in the middle of the night. Yet i am still looked at as if i am a monster. at least back at home i had a place... Not that i can return to how things were, but what Ganon would do to me at least has an end."

Soren sighs, "if we were back home i would probably force him to the field as he is. As the swordsman he so wishes to be. Let him mess up against an enemy he'd never be able to win against just to show him how is actions can truly affect those around him. Unfortunately the only kinds of enemies this place seems to have are now on the outside of the barrier."

Zelda blinks and frowns, "you... would rather go back and face your punishment...." she sighs and opens the door all the way. She gently takes his hand and gently pulls him to enter her room, "lets talk. I havent done that with you since i put the seal on your hand and that was awfully rude of me."

Ike hums softly, " yeah... perhaps a simulated fight would work. I got a taste of how bad his condition can mess up Aidens fighting, perhaps adding a few more fighters on their side, pairing Caleb with someone other than his brother so that Aiden helping him will really mess things up." he stands up, " thanks, you always help me work through things."


Ghirahim blinks and makes a protesting noise but lets her pull him into her room, " ...why? why do you care?"

Zelda huffs, "because if the hero truly believes that you deserve a better life than the one you had then... you do. And i have been terrible at making sure your needs had been met." She goes over to her table amd pulls out a chair for ghirahim, "it is my job to make sure my people are happy and safe and currently you fall under that category. So. Lets talk."

Soren blinks, "i suppose. Good luck and you're welcome. "

Ike heads down to the barracks, grabbing a few men before heading over to where Aiden and Caleb are practicing, " hey you two, ready for another training exercise?"


Ghirahim frowns and slowly sits, " what's there to talk about? Everyone is either afraid of me or looks at me like they wish i would drop dead. so i spend all day in my room alone."
