Ike shrugs, " well in a sense i did, to make sure you where alright and would be. or at least not going to jump off the tower or anything, i understand the chances of you really being alright is slim."

Link flinches and pulls away from ike, his face showing shame and guilt before he quickly looks away.

Ike notes this and sighs, " well, i can;t say im great with the touchy feely stuff, i usually take my men to experts for that kind of thing after hard battles if i can. And im not saying anything specific happened, im just going to say whatever may or may not have happened, whatever it was was not your fault. People like that do whatever they can to dominate others, so anything that may or may not have happened is merely the result of their own twisted mind. there's nothing to be ashamed of, as far as i can tell you're still a great warrior. The best warrior isn;t one who's never had anything bad happen, or is never afraid. The best warrior is one who gets back up after being knocked down, who faces their fears and even if he feels like a quivering child inside he doesn't let that fear rule his life."

Link shakes and sighs, he turns back towards ike and takes his hand again, "You dont need to worry about me. Soon you'll be sent back home. You were only brought here to rescue me."

Ike snorts softly, " fuck that shit. We might have only been brought here to get you back, but there's no way in hell im leaving after that fuckfest of a fight. Those guys probably think we're shitty fighters, and admittedly that wasn;t our best fight, but once we get back in fighting shape i'll show them the might of the Greil mercenaries. or at least the three of us that are here." he chuckles softly.

Link blinks and frowns, "But your men will keep getting hurt. This is not your battle to risk severe injuries in. You are under no obligation to assist us. I do not understand."

Ike chuckles, " what, you think every battle ha to have a personal vendetta in it? We're mercenaries, we get hired, or we pick our battles as we please. We enjoy fighting, and normally we don;t get this badly hurt. If we'd been in the same team Soren would have been keeping Sothe and i healed up while we kept him safe. Even if we do get hurt, it's a worthwhile cause. We've already discussed it, and i wasn;t the one that brought it up first. we will stay and fight. Soren and i both want to help you guys. Sothe... well hes got a different way of saying things, he won;t ever admit it but i think he wants to help too."

Link takes Ike's words in to consideration before nodding. He gets on his knees and scoots to ike's injured side.

Ikr blinks, watching Link move closer. " uh, hi?"

Link huffs and keeps tapping, not giving up.

Ike raises an eyebrow, " for someone who hasn't said a word yet you're extremely stubborn." he shakes his head and lifts his shirt, exposing the bandages on his side. a small section of it had a patch of red.

Link hums softly, agreeing with ike before he carefully begins unwrapping the bandages.

Ike swats at his hands, " cut that out, they can take a look and rewrap it in the infirmary. you don;t need to fuss over it, im just fine."
