Iida stops and chews his lip, he turns to face ike, this time keeping his distance. He glances at link and scowls when he sees the smile on links face.

Link catches Iida's glare and frowns, tilting his head to look down

Ike notes the look between them and looks a bit confused, but takes the opportunity to press his attack, swiping at his sword to try and knock it from his hand while he's distracted.

Iida startles into dodging ike's attack before countering with his own attack

Ike blocks the attack and steps back, slowly starting to circle around looking for an opening, " pay attention to the fight or you'll lose."

Iida grinds his teeth in anger as he carefully watches ike. He goes to attack ike,  swinging at his legs

Ike was getting irritated at the others behavior, and decided enough was enough. The blade was close enough to the ground that when he jumped back to dodge, he quickly placed a foot onto it and pinned the sword to the ground. At the same time he quickly brings his own to Iidas neck, stopping a hairsbreadth away from his skin, " enough, if you aren;t going to take my lessons seriously then i see no point in continuing at this time."

Iida's eyes widen slightly as he takes a minute to process what just happened.

The sounds of the others hooting and hollering cheers for ike fill the air and Iida's ears.
He glares at ike before letting go of the sword and standing up right, not wanting to appear beneath him.

Link watches them carefully, his stomach twisting in a way he's not used to.

Iida keeps his voice low, his words meant only for ike to hear, "you're not worth the hero's attention."

Ike looks at Iida steadily before bending to pick up the sword from under his foot and offering it back to the other, keeping his voice low as well, " and you're not worth my time." He turns back towards the others and grins, waving as he strides back over to Link and the others, " sorry about that poor performance, i guess he's just distracted today. anyone else want a lesson before Link and i have our match?"

A few of the men eagerly accept ike's offer.

Link watches as iida leaves the training ground, slightly torn between being glad that he got what he deserved but still feeling bad for the guy

Ike happily faces each of the men one on one, correcting any mistakes he sees and showing them the best ways to execute certain moves. Once he's done teaching everyone that wanted a lesson he looks over at Link, " ready? i promise that despite me having already done some fighting and you being fresh, i still will make it a good fight."

Link nods and smiles. He grabs his sword and goes to the center as he waits for ike.

Ike follows and faces off against Link, starting the match that as per usual, would last at least an hour between the two skilled fighters.

Link keeps up with his usual endurance. Making sure the match lasts for a couple of hours.

Ike keeps up and gives Link a good fight, though after a few hours and once they're both exhausted he raises a hand to stop the match, " alright alright, i think it's a draw again."

Link stops and smiles, pleased with how long they fought for. He puts his sword away before going over to ike, still grinning.
