Ike blinks then chuckles, " well when you hole up in your room and don;t talk to anyone, yeah i can see that."

Ghirahim huffs, " i know i don;t have to. but i want to."

Caleb blushes and smiles at ghirahim,  "you... you want to remember what i like? " his cheeks slightly red.

Link blinks before growing slightly,  "ah-ah.. yeah you're right i guess." He huffs softly before looking away

Ike laughs, " oh come on don;t get mad, im just teasing you."

Ghirahim looks away and nods, " well... maybe."

Caleb chuckles and shakes his head before setting his tray to the side and snuggling against ghirahim.

Link shakes his head a bit, "no, you're right. I don't come out much unless it's to eat or train ever since most of our men died in the fall of the field." He rubs his arm and sighs, "I havent wanted to meet anyone new and get attached to them in fear that i'll have to deal with the loss all over again... But that's not good and i know that it has started taking its toll on my mental health.... it's just a lot easier at the farm... where i dont have to look at all the new faces and remember that they replaced the ones I considered family."

Ghirahim blushes when he feels the other snuggles against him, hesitating before putting his arm around the other.


Ike's smile vanishes and his face turns serious, "yes... that i can understand. it's not easy to lose those you've fought side by side with, but they'd want you to forge new relationships move on, they knew what was at stake, and they were willing to give their lives for our cause. we honor them by continuing the fight, and never giving in until we are all safe."

Caleb hums happily, "thank you for being good to me...its nice..."

Link wipes his face and he nods, "i know... its just so hard..."

Ghirahim blinks, " i should be saying that to you...even knowing all the things i've done... still you're here."

Ike nods, " yeah, i know. i never said it was easy. but it's what we need to do."

Caleb sighs, "Because despite what happened you... were raised in the environment that encouraged that but... you havent done it here. And you're trying. I wont lie, I will be very cautious moving on forward to properly notice any of that behavior but I wont leave you. My brother always said that everyone deserves second chances in life."

Link hugs his knees to his chest and sighs, "Just wish that was my only problem."

Ghirahim looks down, unsure how to respond to all that. After a bit he turns to face Caleb, burying his face into the others hair.

Ike nods, " you've been through a lot. but you've got lots of people who care about you, and we're all here to help however we can."

Caleb blinks and doesn't move briefly before chuckling,  "that tickles."

Link doesnt respond knowing the only thing that would come out of his mouth is him telling ike that he was wrong. He has maybe a handful of people who he can truly count on if that. He doesn't want to argue with ike. He wants to be friends with him even if it hurts. He also doesnt want to stay quiet. The lack of sound makes him very aware of the weird static that constantly buzzes in his skull.
He keeps his eyes on the field and gives a numb nod, "yeah,  sure. If you say so."

Ghirahim grunts, " sorry..." he pulls away, not really sure what to do with himself. he wanted to just flee, this other person was being so kind...but he wanted to stay here too. it was very confusing. the other had clothes in his room! that was something he could focus on. " oh, um so those clothes we got are in my room, if you wanted to get them?"

Caleb perks up a bit and smiles, "oh yeah! That'd be a good idea. After all the commotion i forgot. Thanks again by the way, for buying me clothes."

Ghirahim nods, " yeah, no problem... it was my pleasure." he gets up and grabs Calebs hand, teleporting him to his room. he lets go and walks over to the table where the purchases sit, picking up some of the clothing, " oh, by the way, this is um, my room. you're welcome to come here anytime."

Ike sighs, sensing Links skepticism. " even those who aren;t very close to you, value you as their hero. if you walked up to any house in town, i have no doubt they'd give you whatever they could if it would help you."

Caleb looks around and blinks, "its huge! How lucky! I didnt think there were rooms this big in the barracks!"

Link looks at ike and shakes his head, "i dont want that though. I just want... " he blinks and gives a dry chuckle, "i dont know what i want really...."

Ghirahim raises an eyebrow, " probably because it's not in the barracks, it's in the castle."

Ike nods, " oh i know, but im just saying, even if they don't know you, you're their hero. they all care for you and support you, even if they've never even seen you. that's a pretty special thing."
