Soren rubs the back of his head and looks away, "ah, yeah i've known for a while i guess. I told him he should tell you properly but he insisted that he was okay with where things were at, I figured it was just because you were with aiden at the time and thats why he wasnt going to say anything. But he's so easy to read that i wouldnt be surprised if even sothe knew right away that Link liked you. Not that any of this helps you now, that kid keeps anything he's truly feeling locked up tight in that heart of his. I guess thats what happens when you thrust so much responsibility onto one person. a damn shame."

Ike sighs, " wish i could help him, but even now he seems to keep me at arms length, you know?"

soren sighs, "The only way to help him is to know what he's thinking and he isnt going to be honest with you thats for sure. I wouldnt put it past him if he told you he only wanted to be friends because he thought you would be better off without him. "

Ike blinks and frowns, "are you fucking kidding me? if that's the case im going to slap the kid. the hell am i gonna do?"

Soren hums softly before sighing, "well..... i can usually weasel the truth out of him since he's not used to how i ask questions. you could hide in my bathroom and wait to hear what he says before deciding to slap him or not."

Ike blinks, " would you? that would be helpful to figure out what the heck is going on in his brain."

Soren nods, "Of course. just gotta get him in here first though."

Ike nods, " yeah... maybe i'll leave a note for him in his room saying you wanted to speak with him?"

soren shakes his head, "i would like to leave you out of his head otherwise he might get suspicious. if i know when he is in this hallway i can catch him and pretend to need help getting more books."

Ike nods, " well i can't be the one to help with that much, since i'll need to be hidden. he said he'd be about an hour, so he should be getting back in about... half an hour ish?

soren nods, "perfect. i should be done with these samples by then. dont forget, you owe me a trip to a spring to collect some samples near their supposed 'healing properties'"

Ike blinks and grins, " totally forgot. just say the word and we'll go alright? sorry, had a lot on my mind this morning."

Soren waves his hand dismissively, "no no its totally fine. It's why I reminded you after all. We'll figure out links deal and go a little after that okay?"

Ike nods, " sure thing. in the meantime, i haven;t had breakfast. and im betting you didn;t either. i'll go grab us something quick."
