Ike laughs softly, " yes they are. they've got some leafy sea dragons too, their populations have been declining in the wild. plus they're really hard to find in the wild since they've got such good camouflage. and look at the glowing jellyfishes!" He drags Link around, having seen all this before but enjoying the reactions that Link has.

"Glowing jellyfish!? You serious?!" He looks at the tank, smiling, "you... you are serious... holy shit..." Link stands there for a bit, enjoying himself before glancing over at Ike, "So... tell me more about yourself. I hardly know anything about you besides the fact that you play sports and that you like to crash parties. I'm sure you're not that two dimensional right?"

Ike grins, watching Link enjoy everything. " pretty cool stuff huh?" he blinks, " oh, yeah i suppose i haven;t told you much about myself. what do you want to know? I go to EU, i got a full ride thanks to my football skills, otherwise i probably wouldn;t have been able to go. I live with two roommates in an apartment, both guys i grew up with. not related by blood but they're brothers to me. i work at a retail store cashiering and stocking shelves. ummm." he rubs his neck, " what else?"

Link snorts and laughs softly, "do you have any hobbies? Are you even taking any majors? What do you like to do for fun?"

Ike blinks and chuckles, " alright. Um, i enjoy tinkering with cars when i've got spare time, guess you can call that both fun and a hobby. keeps me and my buds vehicles up and going anyway, which is good. Im majoring in engineering, again, cars, but in minoring in sociology."

Link nods his head, "all valuable skills to have... sociology? Thats an interesting minor to have. At least for someone who seems to be a motorhead like yourself."

Ike chuckles, " i know, it's an odd combo. but...while i don;t personally want to be a social worker or anything like that, i want to understand everything that goes into it. im so grateful to the social workers to helped me and Sothe and Soren, and to the foster family that took all three of us in even though it was more than they could handle. but we had clicked and they saw that, and did their best to keep us together. i want to be able to do what i can to help other kids."

Link turns pale and he looks at ike, "you.... were in the foster care program?"

Ike nods, " yeah...don;t feel bad though, i mean, it sucked what happened, but my foster parents were great. 3 young boys just puts a massive strain on resources, so while we didn't have much luxuries, and there wasn;t always as much food as we'd like, it was fine." he rubs the back of his neck, " sorry, didn;t mean to get all sob story on ya."

Link shakes his head and looks down, rubbing his arm, "its not... there's no reason to apologize. Its fine.... i just... i was in it too. For a few years anyway..."

Ike blinks and grins, " oh? small world then. Pity we didn;t meet back then, maybe you would have ended up being one of my brothers too. though that would make what we're doing now a little awkward. ah well."

Link nods numbly before looking back at the aquarium, "um... so how long have you been going to eu?"

Ike smiles, " im in my second year. how about you? i've given you my info, now you get to tell me. hobbies, interests, major, so on."

Link looks at ike and smiles, "i enjoy cooking and baking. Anything involving food really. I like to hang out with my cousins but i'm sure you could have figured that out. My major is in communications. While my minor is in psychology."

Ike nods as he listens, " food huh? good to know. sorry, i won't be able to spoil you much in that department. can;t cook worth crap and i can;t really afford to treat you to anything good."
