Link blinks when he's hugged, chewing slowly, "It's... okay? It happened a long time ago. Usually people just dont want to be my friend after they find out."

Ike blinks, " seriously? assholes... guess they just don't know what it's like to lose parents... and just because it happened a long time ago doesn;t mean it doesn;t hurt."

Link snorts softly and looks at ike, "Thanks... Suppose I wasnt expecting a hug. You wanna let go?"

Ike shakes his head, " nope, don;t wanna. i know the feels, you need hugs."

Link sighs and shakes his head, "You act as if thats the worse thing to happen to me."

Ike blinks, " uh...well i don;t know what else has happened. i just know what's in the article."

Link smiles, "And I wont tell ya either. You gotta be friendship level 25 to find out the rest of my tragic backstory. But, no, my dad killing most of our family and then my mom trying to kill us both is not actually the worst of it. Surprising I know."

Ike winces, " jeez. well you definitely beat me in the tragic childhood backstory department. not that it's a contest."

Link shakes his head, "Everything happens to everyone differently. Doesnt mean that I've had it worse nor does it diminish someone else's hardships. Too be fair I could be dead so I'm honestly pretty okay with my life right now."

Ike nods, " yeah... guess we're both lucky to be here, alive." he lets go of Link, moving back over to his spot and digging into his food again.

Link goes back to taking a few bites of his food, "So, will i get to hear your tragic backstory someday? You dont have to tell me though. You just mentioned having one so I am curious."

Ike blinks, and chuckles, " oh, right. well, i got an article too." he takes his phone and pokes at it before sliding it over to Link, " here."

Link curiously takes the phone and begins reading. After a while he blinks and frowns, setting the phone down, "Oh geeze....shit man im sorry..."

Ike takes his phone back and puts it in his pocket, " shit happens...anyway, what's done is done. we're here in the now, and right now i got some freaking awesome food and a pretty awesome guy to eat it with." he chuckles and takes another big bite.

Link looks at ike, taken aback slightly at being called awesome before he lowers his head and starts chuckling, "yeah i guess i agree with you there."
