Ike shakes his head, " nah i'll pass. oh right, we'll have to swing by that gas station and get the lettuce for the ducks too. this is gonna be great." he holds all of their food, grinning.

Link fills up the cups and puts the lids on them. He snags a couple of straws before going over to ike, "lead the way."

Ike nods and heads to the nearest gas station, sweet talking a head of wilted lettuce that was going to get tossed out anyway from the manager before heading back to the lake, extremely pleased with himself.

Link snorts as he watches ike the entire time, amused with the sweet talking. He follows closely behind ike, chuckling, "well you certainly had a victory back there."

Ike grins and chuckles, " what can i say? i've had a lot of practice talking my way out of sticky situations. And knowing how to charm people into giving out freebies is also a very useful talent." he sets the food into the boat and climbs in, getting things arranged before taking the drinks so Link can get in. " plus now the ducks get chow that would have just been an addition to a landfill. win win in my book."

Link smiles at the thoughtfulness of ike's actions before carefully getting in, "you're right. That is a win win."

Ike waits until Link is settled in and hands his drink back, keeping his own, " alright, lets get out to the middle and enjoy our picnic." he grins and starts paddling, being careful with their food.

Link chuckles and takes a sip of his soda as he helps paddle

Once out in the middle Ike grabs the food and sets it between them, " alright, since you don;t know what you like, feel free to try everything. i'll eat anything you don;t like or whatever you decide not to eat. and of course one of the shakes and fries is yours, can't forget that." he pulls out his own fry and munches a few while he waits for Link to decide what he wants.

Link blinks and looks at the burgers curiously. He hesitantly grabs a regular cheeseburger and his fries, "eh. Never been too picky. I suppose thats a silver lining when it comes to being a starving child. You learn not to be a picky eater real quick."

Ike blinks and tilts his head, " starving child? i mean yeah some families in foster aren;t the best, but starving?"

Link flinches slightly and looks away, "ah... well... ahhhh... after the incident with my father and the.... murders it was just my mom and i and...she didnt make the best money. Our family never really did. Apparently my grandparents didnt like my mom so they had cut her out of the family wealth entirely."

Ike blinks, " oh... sorry to hear that... u, well seriously, have whatever you want, im not picky either. don;t forget you have ice cream too..." ah shit, he hadn;t meant to bring up painful memories. he grabs a sandwich and bites into it, hoping a full mouth would keep him from asking more stupid questions.

Link looks at ike and frowns before shrugging. "Its fine. What happened, happened. I know.... the article didnt go in to much detail of our life. Impa kind of paid off a lot of people to ensure the public only knew the bare minimum...so its not your fault for not knowing." Link bites in to his burger, chewing slowly before swallowing, "if you want to ask questions you can. Usually i'm okay with spilling the beans on a lot of unimportant shit. But if i cant tell you, i just wont."
