Ren snorts, " i will do as i feel is right. you will not change my mind."

Torque is silent for a minute before sighing, "its gonna suck not having you on board..."

Ren raises an eyebrow and smirks, " good luck dealing with the masses. but if it makes you feel any better, despite our differences in opinion, i think i shall miss you as well."

Torque snorts and scratches the back of his head, "right. Thanks. Although i have to say that if anything happens to the kid underyour watch i'll be highly disappointed."

Ren nods, " you would not be the only one. i'd be a disgrace to my whole species. i will protect him with my life."

Torque nods, "good. I wont be surprised if more than just my ex show up to get him so i cant imagine your journey will be an easy one."

Ren sighs softly, " indeed. however my hopes is we can... remain under the radar, as they say. two travelers is far less attention attracting, even if both are not often seen species. his exact race can be hidden however, there are more than one blue skinned species. the gem is the only true identifying feature."

Torque nods, "and keeping the collar hidden as well. That alone would raise some questions when paired up with someone like you."

Ren nods, " this is one of the few times i can say i wish my species were not so... distinctive. perhaps i can hide my features somewhat with loose pants and a foot covering, keeping my tail tucked around my waist, so on..."

Torque nods, "you can always hide his collar too for now. Just not sure how long that will work on hotter planets."

Ren nods, " yes, he will have to get used to wearing thick clothing and a scarf regardless of heat. i will try and keep our route cooler for that reason though, if i can."

Torque nods, "alright.... well... i'll inform the men and i'll get your last pay ready so you have that money in your account before you leave."
