Ren nods, " a bit more expensive but i doubt there's one of those here in this smaller harbor town. i will take the cot and you can have the bed. i think he'll let us stay here while we stay in town."

Orion looks at ren, "Are you sure about me taking the bed? I can always take the cot you know."

Ren nods, " again, i am used to sleeping in many places. i want you to be comfortable." he smiles, " so, you had a good day?"

Orion blinks before his ears perk up as he gives a toothy grin, his chest glowing, "yeah! I think i got a lot done and a nice lady who bought some stuff said i had a very genuine smile and that it was refreshing! Thats a nice compliment."

Ren chuckles, " well that does sound like you did very well for your first day on the job. not everyone will be that nice, some people will be mean no matter how good you do, you just need to keep that in mind."

Orion blinks and frowns, "why.... would someone be mean? That doesnt make sense... The lady has a product and you buy it with money... that should be the end of the process."

Ren shrugs, " not all people are the same. they will try and find flaws in the product or service to get a discount, or perhaps they're simply assholes who are rude and mean no matter what happens."

Orion frowns, "Oh... i do hope i dont deal with that kind of person while at the stall."

Ren nods, " i hope so as well, but i just want you to be aware it's nothing you did or can change, just have to put up with it."

Orion nods, "So... it's not my fault if they're mean. It's their fault."

Ren nods, " but you still have to be polite, because that's the job of the seller. to be professional and polite no matter how snotty the customer is. if the owner wants to step in and tell the customer off, that's her right, but you just need to remember it's not your fault and deal with it until they leave."

Orion nods and his glowing fades a bit, "That's unfortunate. But I suppose I would be used to it so I should be fine."

Ren nods, " i hope it does not happen, but i just want you prepared in case it does. are you ready to have dinner now?"

Orion places his hand over his chest until he can push the gem to glow just enough where it cant be seen and he nods, getting up, "Yes. I'm hungry."

Ren nods and heads out of the room, going to the table and thanking their hosts. the woman and man are already eating, if the guests wanted cold food that was their own issue. Ren sits and eats his portion without complaint, the dish being mostly fish as it's easy to obtain here and therefore cheap.
