Ren shakes his head, " while i appreciate the enthusiasm, that's fair trade. services have value, which is most easily repaid in currency. i do not want money i did not earn. you are welcome to continue helping with my work, but you will be compensated." he crosses his arms.

Orion brings his hands up to his chest and he blunks, "oh... okay? What do i... do with it."

Ren blinks, " well, when we reach a waystation you can use it to buy things. otherwise you can buy things on a datapad, such as things to watch or information, but since you don;'t have a bank chip you'll have to use mine and pay me what you spend. which is fine. or there's higher quality goods on this ship that the captain keeps for us to purchase if we like, beyond the basic goods that are given for free."

Orion keeps blinking, "a... datapad.... is...?"

The lizard blinks and grabs a small almost stick looking item, clocking a button on the side and a screen pops out, " this. you can find much free information and services on the interweb, but some require currency. have at it." he holds it out to the other.

Orion takes it carefully and looks at it, "oh! I can learn with this?" He looks up at ren and smiles, "thank you for letting me use it then. I cant wait! I... admittedly dont even know what i should look up first. Maybe.... there's information about my race on it..."

Ren nods, " yes you may use it, there is much information. in there is where i learned what i did about your race. and many others. i try to study at least one new topic a day. enjoy. you are probably hungry, i will see what is being made for sustenance since those that make food should be awake. i will be back shortly." he smiles seeing the other excited.

Orion nods at Ren and grins as he gets comfortable on the bed and he starts looking things up, the blue glow of the datapad lighting up his face

The lizard leaves the room, quickly heading to the kitchen and getting two plates of whatever was being made before going back to the room, setting one next to Orion before taking a seat at his desk.

Orion is staring at the screen, looking almost serene, "...im...my race is... was called... a galakin..."

Renshajoh blinks and smiles, " i didn;t remember what they were called. eat while the food is hot." he digs into his own meal, eating without really caring what it is.

Orion sets the pad down and takes his dish. He takes a bite, blinking and making a face, "ah... I suppose... i got used to my personal cook..."

Renshajoh chuckles, " well, if you earn enough i suppose you can hire one, that's one downside of freedom. food can be substandard unless you make it yourself. though for me, next time we stop at a planet with water i will be catching some fresh fish to enjoy."

Orion chuckles, "Or maybe just admit that....ive been extremely pampered and spoiled?"

The lizard chuckles, " very much so. but i would not trade places with you in a thousand years."
