Ren raises an eyebrow, " he's male isn;t he? of course he'd be the one to get someone else pregnant."

Orion blushes and clears his throat.

Missy gives an understanding smile and sighs, "its not that well known so its normal for you to assume that. However both male presenting and female presenting can carry the child. Males however have to want to. They cant just have sex and it happens."

Ren blinks slowly, " that's... strange. well then, i suppose that does provide multiple options. sorry if i offended you at all." he looks at Orion, " anyway, im glad you guys are having fun and learning a lot. since im not needed elsewhere, i can relax here for a bit while you guys keep going if you want."

Missy shakes her head, "you're fine, orion only just found about it as well."

Oriod turns even more blue as he blushes

Ren blinks and chuckles, " well i don;t imagine the guy he lived with before would tell him much about his people. so i can see that." he lets go of Orion, realizing the subject has changed from what originally upset him and he no longer needed to comfort him. " you two have fun chatting and learning, i'll just sit off to the side and listen."

Orion nods and sits back down, "uh so... anything besides death. Or birth. "

Missy laughs, "alright child. Shall we discuss a galakins connection to the stars? Im sure you're wondering how the hell that works."

Ren sits in a nearby chair, making himself comfortable to listen.

Missy flips the pages of the book, pointing out some things, "you share your dna with your family, and that includes ancestors as well. So when a galakin dies there's a good chance they turn into a star that means you are connected to that star. Your blood is blue only because its being constantly exposed to a stars energy which is constantly being pumped through your veins."

Ren yawns in the background, this part was fairly boring. the blue blood bit was interesting, did that mean his blood could be used for power too? that was a dangerous thing if so.

Orion looks down and frowns, "so...wait...i get that but.... apparently, according to the people im traveling with, its believed that all the stars are gone and that the ones we are seeing near planets are... man made. What power am i taking from?"

Missy smiles, "that is a very valid question. You should not be able to connect to a man made star since there would be no connection between you and it. So, either we still have stars that no one is aware of, which is highly possible, or we've been told a lie. If you were to go to a man made star and connect with it then its not man made. More like stolen. That people are now being forced to pay money to have in order to live. So, having you here out in space is a pretty big deal."

Orion frowns, "how... how can you steal a star? Arent they sometimes suns? Isnt that supposed to be incredibly hot??"

Ren blinks, listening in more, " Perhaps if they drained most of the energy first to reduce the size and heat... then they could move it. or perhaps they have technology we're not aware of."

Missy nods, "there are many factors that we are not aware of. And thats IF they actually have been stealing stars. This universe is massive enough where a star out of harms way is probably still kicking."

Ren nods, " yes, there are too many unknowns for us to really be able to figure it out with our present information. but at least you've learned a lot hm?" he looks at Orion.

Orion gives a thoughtful nod, "if we... come across a star that i can get close to... will you let me try to... do something to it? To see if its man made or not?"

Ren blinks and nods, " yeah, of course. im sure our course will take us close enough that i can manage to get us to detour close. Torque for sure i can convince, if it's after we get a charter to get you home it's a little trickier, but money talks, and i do have some stashed just in case."
